Here we are in early January and the weather can really turn on you. Yikes! In North Texas it is expected to be unseasonably warm -- if breaks in the clouds occur to cause a rise in temperature -- then we are in for isolated supercells bringing damaging winds, tornadoes, hail and flooding. Then the temps plunge to the 30s by Sat. morning. The outlook is so bad the Governor has posted that resources are on standby to assist local officials in the event they are needed.
What's happening in your neck o' the woods?

very usual weather in Mass. Frigid yesterday-single digit wind chills high 40's to 50 today and possible 60's over the weekend.I will gladly take any warmth i can get during the winter. :rainbow: :peace:

In the teens yesterday with snow, today 50's, and tomorrow 60's, very warm for PA this time of year.
-
It is going to be in the 70's today and tomorrow. Rain starts this evening. I have trees and bushes that are starting to bud out.
-
It is pretty chilly at the moment (below 40 degrees Fahrenheit) here in Georgia. I am definitely not used to it!

It has been warmer this winter than usual, for which I'm grateful. The bad thing is we have been getting freezing rain instead of snow lately, so the roads and sidewalks literally turn into skating rinks. But it's warm-ish, so everything keeps melting during the day and re-freezing at night. I'm waiting for winter to really hit in February, like last year when we had a long stretch of sub-zero days and 3 feet of snow! I really hope that doesn't happen. :'(

I'm from MA too and I'm looking forward to the warmer (supposedly) weather this weekend. It may rain but as long as it's not snow I'm good.

Ohio...55 and rain... ???

The weather reached it's last beautiful day for awhile. Today starts the day of about a week of winter like weather. So we are in season.

I am in Colorado and we can see some pretty massive weather changes with temperature changes of eighty degrees or more in the recent months. We were in the fifty degree range yesterday afternoon and when I took off for work last night I went through a small snow storm for about five miles. We have over three hundred and twenty days of sunshine and almost no humidity which I love. Our summers have been getting warmer with more than thirty days in the nineties but even this is bearable due to the lack of humidity. Night time sleeping weather is always moderate and air conditioning is rarely necessary. Today we are a few degrees colder than average-right around forty five degrees and we had a few flurries at four this morning.

Wow sorry toy hear about your bad weather - here in central FL one never knows what to expect sometimes cold at night and blazing hot in the daytime. Well be safe :rainbow:
-
showers and 50 degrees northern Ohio
-
I live in North Carolina and one day it might be cold or rainy and the next day it will be unseasonably warm. Tomorrow it is suppose to be 75 degrees.
-
in Michigan where I am, we are supposed to get a freezing ice storm
-
It's about the same here in Georgia as it always is in the winter, most of the days in the low 50s with an occasional day that's colder. I grew up in Chicago, so I guess it never feels cold enough for me here in Georgia, LOL! On the same note, I would never, ever want to move back to Chicago with the snowdrifts over your head. It could get a little scary there! :peace:

We are having thunder storms again this week in Tennessee, have not had enough cold weather to kill off the bugs from last year.
-
In North Georgia we're having severe thunderstorms and damaging winds this evening.
-
Here in SW FL, we have had cooler temps, but next week we will be above normal and humid again. Not the usual winter weather.
-
So foggy this morning and rainy' Dreary day.
-
Pretty typical here on Oregon with temps on the 40 degree range and rain, but we did get a break with a trip to Las Vegas where it was sunny and blue sky every day we were there and in the high 60's.

We've had a pretty good winter so far in PA and I'm loving it. A couple times this month we've had a "trace" of snow that is gone in hours because the ground is still warm. Yesterday 58, today it's 61 at noon. We will be leveling off the next week to around 45-50. We're supposed to get the rain later today and winds that TX had yesterday. Our nights have been okay, only 2 nights of single digits and about 4 nights in the teens. Otherwise, anywhere from 24-33. I know we're going to pay for it in February if we don't the rest of this month.

I live in PA also. Weather today is in the low 60’s and the sun is shining. But like sfreeman8 said, we will no doubt pay in February.

-13 degrees right now. Cold...very cold for the last two weeks!
We had a super hot summer. Now, we are having a super cold winter!
Extreme and unusual weather conditions, isn't it?
-
Here in Texas we had a bad thunder storm last night but today it's sunny with a high of 53!
-
Well, it WAS sunny a few days ago in Georgia. However, we are set to experience some cloudiness and rain in a few hours. :(
-
Standard high this month seems to be in the 60s. When the lows get just a tad higher I can get a jump start on my spring gardening.
-
It's been really warm but raining like crazy.
-
Today in Pennsylvania near Philly, it was in the 60s. I think it may have broke a record or came close. :rainbow:
-
60's this weekend which is unusually high for this time of year. I don't mind though I hate cold weather.
-
Here in Georgia, it can be warm one Day and cold the next Day. I know that is why so many of us here stay sick all of the time. Our Body's stay as crazy as the Weather here.
-
Its been beautiful out, but chilly around 65 for the highs. That is cold for us California sissies, LOL
-
Very windy and pretty cold tonight!
-
in illinois it is cold and we are expecting 4 to 6 inches of snow starting tomorrow afternoon
-
It lightly rained last night, so the ground was wet -- and it has been really cold at about 55' all day, i've had to wear my running gloves because it's FREEZING cold.
-
We have had from spring like to actual winter , which is the season we are in; but the warmer weather was only for a few days; tomorrow, they are predicting, snow, sleet and ice :( so I think from now on it will actually be like winter.
-
Building an ark here in Georgia. Way to much rain, love me some sunshine soon.
-
Here in MN it's freezing. And we got snow just dumped on us the last 2 days.
