As of the the first week of january I have stopped drinking soda. Now I just drink water, coffee, and milk on occasion. I also drink beer but not a lot
-
I drink soda but not often. I drink, at night watching tv, either water or ice tea.
-
Yes, I drink soda but I have cut down on the amount that I drink. Now I drink 1 can compared to 3 cans a day.
-
Every now and then I have a glass of Pepsi as a treat after I finish housework. Other than that I just drink water.
-
I drink some but not a lot. A soda a few times a week. I used to drink nothing but water and coffee.
-
I typically drink water with lemon year round. It is amazing how cleansing it really is. Your body is hydrated and the lemon cleanses the palate. Eventually you won't have any cravings for sodas. Having that habit enables me to 'cheat' every so often even though I find most of these beverages too sweet now. I won't drink the diet {think 'chemicals'} drinks at all, but I will go to ginger ale or Coke (regular, Cherry, Vanilla, etc.) or root beer. :highfive:
-
Yes. I am working on stopping that bad habit along with giving up caffeine. Not looking forward to that headache that comes with giving up caffeine and soda.
-
I drink a lot of pop instead of coffee
-
No. I might have soda once a year.
-
I quit drinking soda several years ago. I loved Vanilla Coke and would drink several a day. Very occasionally I will get a root beer if we are at a restaurant but usually water since they don't charge for that... I sip on sweet tea all day now.
-
Every once in awhile a Mtn Dew or Vernors Ginger Ale....but mostly coffee and water.
-
No, I stopped a few months ago. Water is my favorite drink.
-
We've been a no soda household since December 2017.
-
We have Sam's soda water, which taste just like soda, but we even have that very sparingly. We mostly have fruit juice and water.
-
That's admirable and quite a sacrifice for your health, congrats!

You're right; lemon water is very cleansing and hydrating. And the lemon kills bacteria and has fat fighting abilities.

diet or no sugar but not daily
-
I never drink any
-
I only drink soda with real sugar in it no HFCS but I rarely even drink that - to satisfy my fizzy craving I drink Perrier water....which oddly I used to hate and now I love it.
-
Unfortunately I do drink soda every day. I love my Dr. Pepper and can't seem to give it up. I keep some beside me and sip on it all day.
-
Everyone now and then but that's mostly because I learned it's not good for you and if do have some, it will cause me a little pain afterward.
-
I drink diet soda on occasion but not regularly. My dentist says diet soda is really bad for my teeth. I don't know why she says this though, whether the soda eats away at enamel or whether it causes cavities or what. I think I will ask her this the next time I see her.
-
I do drink it but a lot less than I used to.,
-
Yes, I'm for the most part off sodas. I might have one soda once a week, but sometimes I don't even drink that much. I used to drink a lot of soda, but a few years ago I got myself into the habit of drinking mostly water. I might have a cup of coffee or tea a day, but sometimes all I drink in a day is water. :peace:
-
I may drink some soda 2x a year. Too much sugar in all of them.
-
I do a couple of times a week but mostly coffee and water. But love a good fountain soda
-
I quit drinking soda 10 years ago, we drink sparkling water now.
-
I tried to quit sugary sodas. I used to love them though. Dr Pepper and Mr. Pibb.
-
Once in a while. If I do, it's orange.
-
Just occasionally, I used to drink soda a lot more. It is indeed bad for your health. I do drink sparkling juice drinks like izze however. If I do drink soda, it’s usually either root beer or something caffeinated like Coca Cola.

AS of June 1, 2019, I stopped drinking soda. It was easier than I thought. I had tried other times and I didn't succeed. I don't know what changed, but I'm glad it did. Water is my main beverage.
-
Not too much. On occasion with food but mostly prefer sweet tea or water and for my caffeine an iced coffee.
-
I stopped drinking soda in 2014. I normally only drink filtered water, and organic decaf green tea. I also drink lemon or lime water no sugar added. On special occasions we do get sparkling plain or flavored beverages. My husband and daughter still drink soda but only occasionally. None of us drink any alcohol. We occasionally use wine to cook with.
-
I might have a sip now and then, mostly I stick with water and juice.
-
Pretty much only when we eat at fast food restaurants. ANd then I often just have water.
-
Been drinking soda for awhile now cause of Chinese new year and we overbought it during a huge family dinner.
-
yup, I drink soda but, I'm gonna have to quit because of my diabetes
-
i did drink diet dr pepper...but i am on medicine for my migraines...i am on topmax...and you cant drink anything but water...anything with carbonation has a metallic taste and is nasty...and i do miss my glass of dt dr pepper...i drink milos no calorie from time to time but mostly all water...i do use some of the flavor packets to flavor it from time to time..its been 4 weeks without a soft drink...
-
I rarely drink soda but I do like it a lot but only the kind with real sugar - they call it mexican coke and it comes in a glass bottle. In fact I drank one last night but can't remember the last time before that I had one.
-
I use to drink it all the time but I had to stop because of tooth decay. My favorite is Coke though.
-
i dont really drink soda. evey great while i will for the tickle. i drink powerade and iced tea

FYI: "Diet sodas and other sugar-free drinks are usually highly acidic, which weakens the enamel on your teeth and makes them more susceptible to cavities and dental erosion. The level of phosphoric acid, citric acid, and/or tartaric acid is usually high in sugar-free drinks so it's best to avoid them." Per DiazOrhodontics.com
-
Yeah, i still drink it.
Although,hopefully later on this year
I can drink more healthier things like fruit juice in it's place.
Water just doesn't always taste that good.
-
Since I do not drink coffee I normally drink a diet soda in the mornings...
-
Why yes Madam I do? What's it to you? Let's have a party!
-
I drink soda through a straw lol, and maybe you might something stronger to drown your sorrows you 49er loser lol :highfive: 8)
-
I'll drink a soda once in awhile, but most often its iced tea and water.
-
I've started drinking sodas occasionally since we have them in the office.
-
I mostly drink 7-up, sprite, fresco, and sierra mist. Sometimes I'll drink squrit, shasta, sunkist, and fanta.
-
Very rarely, I'm a water drinker.
-
I drink Diet Pepsi once or twice a week. I've heard all the negative stuff about soda and sweeteners. Everything in moderation is my motto.
-
Soda's are a just as addictive as nicotine in coffee....bad stuff
-
The problem with soda is "too many dangerous chemicals": Sugar. high fructose corn syrup,
artificial colors/flavors...and more. I drink SoBe, at least I get some vitamins and minerals I
need in my diet.
-
When I was growing up, I never heard of a "cold drink" being called "soda." The drink was called by it's name. It was either a "Coke," "Pepsi," "RC Cola," "Seven-Up," "Sprite," or "Nehi Orange," etc. So I find it really hard to call these drinks "soda." Having said that, I will confess I like the taste, but gave them up years ago, because I'd rather save my calories for other treats. Water is much better for me and saves me all kinds of calories.
-
I just want to give a "mention" to the zero-calorie sparkling waters available. I'm drinking one now {Waterloo - Lemon, naturally flavored}, coming out of Austin, TX. These sparkling beverages offer many different flavor combinations and are so refreshing -- San Pellegrino, LaCroix, Sparkling Ice, Glaceau Fruit Water, Cascade Ice and others line the shelves with choices.

Yes, I drink soda but I have cut down on the amount that I drink. Now I drink 1 can compared to 3 cans a day.
My best friend from high school would drink about 6 cans/bottles of Mountain Dew a day and I was worried about his health. I'm glad to hear you're down from 3 to 1!

you think you're so cool when you're not. :o :P :highfive: 8)

I drink only diet soda, sometimes I drink sugary sodas but I make it half with water & half the sugary soda!
-
As of the the first week of january I have stopped drinking soda. Now I just drink water, coffee, and milk on occasion. I also drink beer but not a lot
[/quote] So, since you've quit drinking soda, how does it feel health wise after stopping?
-
I do but not as much as I used to. When I was a kid I would have a coke with nearly every dinner. These days I have water instead and save the coke for a semi special occasion.. like pizza :p
-
Maybe once a month, I use to have a cola drink in my hand all the time. I quit and now it tastes funny almost burns my mouth to drink.
-
I love sodas. but try not to drink them.
-
Yes. Love Coca Cola. I drink way too much of it. Try to slow down but always two or three cokes a day!
-
I dont drink it like I once did, I like to have one every couple of week tho :) I prefer coke, but will drink anything else but pepsi
-
I used to down pepsi like it was water. I could get a 24 pack and have it gone in one day back in the day. Now I've stepped back some but i still do drink soda from time to time
-
I haven't drank soda in quite a long time (by choice due to wanting to live a healthier lifestyle). However, unfortunately, I broke the "soda-free streak" a few days ago. Here's to hoping I can re-start the streak very soon. :)
-
I very rarely drink Soda, but if I do, I only drink Dr. Pepper or Mr. Pibb. These are the only two Sodas that I like. I mostly drink Water.
-
Not typically. I'll drink root beer every now and again, though.
-
I don't drink soda and or pop. A long time ago I would but not anymore.
-
Yes, I drink soda but only diet or zero calorie sodas and only about once or twice a week at most. My dentist has been telling me that diet sodas are bad for my teeth so I have been trying to cut down on them.
