That movie is shown near Easter. I've almost forgot about Easter.  Haven't bought anything  for Easter. Tried to buy sees candy but they closed down online orders.

Passover got its name and start when Pharoah of Egypt said to kill firstborn of Jews and it back fired on him that angel would kill firstborn of Egyptians.Jews were told to put lambs blood over their hut and angel would "Passover"them.

April 7th is Passover and corresponds to Nisan <Jewish month>14th when Jesus was executed.

I caught a few minutes of that on TV the other night too. It was the parting of the Red Sea scene and I was pretty impressed with the effects for the time.

We have always used the same Easter baskets so we were ahead of the Corona Virus game this year. We ordered all of our Easter candy on line, a few knick knacks and toys for each family member (plus their favorite magazine), socks (who can not use an extra pair of socks), and this year came with the truly hard to get (but totally appreciated items): Toilet paper, hand sanitizer, face masks and facial tissue. My daughter will be home for the weekend from her job, my son will be down from college and my wife is making my birthday cake complete with confetti frosting and chocolate Easter bunnies (my Birthday is on Sunday). We are making a Ham dinner with my wife's special 'damn' potatoes which are a hit with all who have tried them. Have a Happy Easter weekend everyone!

What I remember best about the 10 Commandments is that it was the ONLY thing I knew about the Bible when I was a kid watching it. Now that I'm an adult, I've pretty much read the Bible through, but I've still got things I remember from the movie that I mistake as the gospel truth, LOL!  :peace:

Yes, that's the problem with these movies.  People really need to realize they are hollywood and they need to actually READ the Bible to know what it says.  I, honestly don't remember if Pharaoh died in the red sea or not.  I know his army went in after the Israelites and God brought the sea back on them and they drowned.  They have, in recent times, found chariot wheels at the bottom of the Red Sea.

I know I've pointed this out before, but the Hebrews didn't take to calling God Jehovah all of the time. Many times He was referred to as Yahweh or Adonai. He told Moses to say "I Am" sent him. Only the JWs get hung up over this.
