As if it couldn't get any weirder....parts of the country were experiencing SNOW.....IN MAY!!! It was cold here too, I had to wear a jacket outside...what on Earth is going on? Lol
-
It's due to the polar vortex that usually stays trapped in the Arctic, but has wandered down into Canada and the northeastern part of U.S. It has pushed into some parts of the Midwest as Chicago may not see temps above 45 degrees, a new low for a high temp in May. The Ohio and Tennessee valleys will receive light rain that shifts to the east turning into snow in the higher elevated parts of W. Virginia and Pennsylvania. It is expected to be a record-setting event for this time of year.

2020 has been a awful year. In VA it's in the 50s then during the day, in the 60s or 70s.
-
Here where I am in MA we had snow on and off all day and a bit of hail mixed in. ::)
-
Yes, I live in VA, and even though we did not get snow it was COLD, I went out to do some groceries and had to wear my jacket. The year 2020 will go down on history no matter what. Hopefully with get better, and lets pray that 2021 will be better

We are still under FREEZE warnings in the Midwest. Much of Minnesota, Iowa, and South Dakota.
Hoping the crops that are just poking up won't get hurt.
-
It certainly is strange.
I live on the coast in Ma. Yesterday there was snow nearby and we had a windchill of 15 degrees. Felt like winter!
A little better today. Sunny and not as windy. :rose: :rainbow: :peace:

It is crazy, we were under a freeze warning last night; now it's back in the 50's ??? weather just seems to go up and down along with all the other things we are concerned with now!
-
Yep everything strange about this year. Pestilence (murder hornet) multiple tornadoes of course the stupid coronovirus. I don't know it is concerning though and I am not trying to be negative but I wonder if anything will ever get back to normal.
-
We had a freeze warning last night. Instead of turning on AC we had to put heat on. And this is May??
-
Yes this year has definitely been strange! Out of the normal for sure. The weather here has also been crazy. Super hot one day and the next day we were wearing our jackets again.
-
It was weird seeing it snow with all the pollen out that is for sure. Yes, a weird year indeed.
-
I heard that..this weather has been uncommonly crazier than normal...And here in the south we see crazy weather daily..But this is beyond that...

Here in Georgia we are experiencing the same old, same old. Not much of a winter and then an early summer. I know it used to get colder in the fall and winter here, because I've read articles that say they used to slaughter pigs in October when it got cold. But now it's still blazing hot in Georgia in October. The weather pattern has definitely changed over the years! :peace:

It snowed here in May of last year. So far there is no snow here in May as of yet.
-
We have started the outside heater again here. Usually quit putting wood in it the middle of April.
-
I think we should start this year over!! I want a redo!!!
-
My friend in New York sent me a video of snow falling in her back yard. I couldn't believe it!

I think we should start this year over!! I want a redo!!!

It is crazy here too, I live in Florida and we have love bugs twice a year, usually end of september for about 2 weeks then our weather starts cooling down. Then in the spring they come back in the middle of April for 2 weeks then it gets really hot and muggy. But this is mid May and we are just getting the love bugs and our temps have been mostly high 70's to mid 80's and low humidity.
-
Really cold here in Illinois and usually have our garden and flowers planted already but they still by the front door where our daughter dropped them off last week.
-
It snowed in MA over the weekend, which is so weird. And it was 70 degree the day prior.

The weather is backwards, this stupid covid-19, my allergies, social distancing, anxiety, and depression. 2020 started off wrong, celebrities dying.
