We had 2 Ruby Tuesday restaurants in our town, both are closed permanent due to the pandemic.

I always loved Ruby Tuesday. Such good food and very reasonable prices. We only have 1 in our town and I don't live close to it, so I rarely get there. But, when traveling I would eat there if I could. Hope they don't all close.

We had the one close down in our area - I think it may be the end of that franchise.

Whew, when I read the title of this thread, I automatically assumed that Ruby Tuesday's (as a franchise) was permanently closing. I love Ruby Tuesday's; in fact, there is one not too far from where I live. However, thankfully, it is slowly beginning to re-open.

We had a Ruby Tuesday at the local mall, but it closed several years ago. I seem to recall that the company as a whole was in financial trouble at that time and they were closing quite a few locations. I always loved their salad bar - which probably wouldn't have survived the COVID pandemic anyway. Congrats to those of you who still have one open in your area!
-
Sorry to hear that, have not heard anything about the one in our area, I enjoy eating there and feel even more sorry for those employees out of work.
-
i am not sure about the one in this are but i wouldnt be surprised if they are closed also.

They did have a good salad bar. It was better years ago than now. Well NOW I assume they do not have the bar. I have not been in ours since last summer. I think it has opened back up for indoor dining but I have not been.

I feel your pain. We used to have a Ruby Tuesday right down the street from us, but it closed down about 10 years ago. I loved their salad bar! Everything was always fresh and tasty. A soul food restaurant went into the Ruby Tuesday building, and it was really good, but it closed down, too. I think it's been defunct since then. Really sad to pass by it and remember the Ruby Tuesday and the delicious food we once had there. :peace:

We do not have one near us but we did have a Logan's close due to the pandemic.

I hate that so many places have had to close because of Covid. If they were in trouble before the Covid, it is certainly much harder.
-
So many restaurants closing.
No one wants to get sick.
-
I use to go there sometimes when I would go on the road with this one job. I don't think I have been there since though.
-
I read online about many restaurants that will have locations closing. It named the restaurants but not where they were located so I don't know if any are in our area. Ruby Tuesday was one of them named.

A lot of places are going to not be able to reopen. The Ds done an excellent job at destroying the economy and the country. There are a couple of places locally that are not going to be able to reopen.

Restaurants are not closing because no one wants to get sick. They can't survive the insane restrictions. It is obvious people do not care about "getting sick" since we have thousands and thousands marching and screaming in the streets all across the country. Too bad all those idiots can't get sick!

Good bye Ruby Tuesday
Who could hang a name on you?

I've only ate there a few times but I enjoyed it.

This is the signs of the times, retail and restaurants are going to be a thing of the past...

What does that even mean? There will always be restaurants and always be places to shop. Our Ruby Tuesday is not closing. It seems to be full every time I have driven by. I have not ate out over maybe 2-3 times since last fall. But there are still plenty of people eating out. As a matter of fact most of the restaurants in my area they are lined up around the building waiting to pick up food.

Awe thats sad. A lot of places are closing and it is horrible.
-
I hate that they are closing, but they were not doing good before Covid.
-
I don't feel bad, they were going down hill along time ago esp when other rests started breaking in like TGIF rests. Over price with low quality foods.
-
I've never been to a Ruby Tuesday.
-
My hubby got a gift certificate from Ruby Tuesday for Father's Day and we picked up the meal last meal. I always enjoyed the salad bar but they closed it down due to the virus and now I'm making my own. I don't think salad bars or all you can eat places will back.
-
how every one doing todY ;D ;D ;D :)
-
If the salad bars and buffets do come back they will have to be served by employees, you point at what you want and they serve it. I don't see how else they would be able to continue with self service.
-
That's so sad to hear. I also read online that Pizza Hut, Wendy's franchisee NPS International filed for bankruptcy. :(

Golden Corral opened exactly this way -- it's still a buffet, but an employee will serve you what you want, which seems not practical as their buffet is so large they would need a ton of servers. Interesting how all this will turn out.
