He was 98 and Rob Reiners (meathead) father. He was a well known director and producer. RIP
-
Sorry to hear that Nancy.I didnt know he was still alive.
Not many make 98 either.
The Dik Van Dyke show he was a big part of.We watch reruns of that on ME TV.

98 is a good run - hopefully he was healthy to the end.
-
He was one of the greats. Loved him as Alan Brady in the D.ick Van Dyke Show. RIP Carl

I am 82 in August and my guess is, when I reach 98 (if I ever do) I will be begging for someone to punch my ticket. In the meantime I am cutting back to Fusioncash only and a few communities where I promote it.

I don’t know, my best friends husbands mother passed away at 99. She was sharp as a tack, lived in an independent senior home and played cards 2 nights a week until 11 pm, had no health issues and only used a walker for mobility. If I could be like that, great!

He was a very great talent. But wow 98, what a great life he had.
-
Carl Reiner lived a long very happy life filled with gratifying work and the love of his family. I was sorry to hear he had passed.
-
So sad! But, he was 98 and lived a long and full life. RIP!
-
RIP to him. :(
-
My prayers and condolences to the Reiner family. At first, I had him mixed up with his son, Rob. :( But 98 is a rare age to live to. And given his profession, he seemed to have lived it to the fullest and left us with some wonderful memories to enjoy.
-
My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. May he RIP.
-
R.I.P., I have loved his work for years.
-
His name sounds familiar but I didn't know of him..
-
Yes he certainly did. I pray for comfort and peace for his family, fans and friends. He was blessed to live such a long life.
-
I really liked him! RIP :rainbow: :rose: :peace:

I dont' think 98 is a rare age to live to in today's world of good health practices. A lot of Hollyweird people live that long. I think I just saw where Olivia DeHavilland just turned 103, still living. Look at Betty White-didn't she turn 99?
Hugh Downs just died at 99, Kirk Douglas 103, Edde Byrnes (Kookie, Kookie, Lend me you comb song and 77 Sunset Strip series) 86, Katherine Johnson (portrayed in Hidden Figures) was 101. Lyle Wagoner 84, Orson Bean 91 hit by a car or else he'd still be kicking, Honor Blackman, 94, Jerry Stiller 92. There were also so many who died in the mid-late 80s.

I forgot who he was until I saw it was Meathead's father. I think I seen Carl Reiner in a movie or something a while back but I think he was before my time.
