Title: Animals Have Rights Too
Post by: JaniceSW on November 06, 2020, 05:56:31 am
I very much believe that animals are living beings that feel pain and hunger like humans do.  Therefore, certain rights should be afforded them, both domestic and non-domestic.  They are also integral to our ecosystem.

For example, let's start with the Endangered Species Act. The Animal Legal Defense Fund has filed a lawsuit to force the federal government to repeal recently imposed rules under this Act. Most regulations are there for a purpose.  Usually they are about protections...humans, animals, the environment.  It's time to care for these things more than the profits big companies earn.

I agree. Animals are God's creatures too. They are not on the same level as humans in the scheme of the universe. So they need our protection.

I agree with you 100%. I love all animals and have many rescue in my house.  I would love to tell you how many, but I can’t for several reasons.  Animals have feeling just like us, they also grieve when one dies (I have seen this).  I donate and volunteer at a few different rescues and wish more people would.

I agree with you, OP. This is why I become SO infuriated when I learn about cowards that harm defenseless animals. I am also glad that there are regulations and laws for low-lives such these, and that these regulations and laws protect our furry ones.

I'm sorry. I do not mean to argumentative, but it absolutely astounds me that we can ignore and outright trample on the rights of a defenseless unborn child, but fight tooth and nail for the rights of an animal.

ALL creatures have value and should be cared for, but let's start with our own children.

In a lot of ways UGP its more important the couple get their rocks off and worry about the abortion later.

Jesus said humans are worth more to God then animals when he said every bird that falls to the ground God is aware of it.We are worth more still and are made in Gods image.

But God also expects mankind to take care of animals and while there are many of us who love them we havent done a good job overall with them.
