About three years after I got married, I was washing my hair in the kitchen sink, and the diamond from my engagement ring came loose and went down the drain. We took the drain apart and even went as far as taking the top off the septic tank to peer down into it, but it was never retrieved. Maybe that's not the same as actually losing a piece of jewelry, but it was gone, just the same.

I once lost a very expensive ring that my grandmother gave me...I was really very upset because this ring is very expensive and valuable to me. I tried to find it for a long time, but it was all in vain. It's been a long time and in all that time I haven't heard a single reproach from my family, but I still feel guilty. My family appreciates various jewelry, for example, my mother has almost the entire KSP Jewelry (https://kspjewelry.com/) collection. So I know how much they're hurting because of what I did. I really hope that someday they will be able to forgive me, although I understand that I am not worthy of forgiveness.

Yes, I loss a nice birthstone ring that had been a gift; think I took it off when I was having my nails done thought I put it in my purse but that was not the case.

I pretty sure it was stolen by someone that was house sitting for me at the time. But my high school class ring disappeared. To this day it makes me sick to think about.

I was feeding the chickens one time and tossed my ring across the fence, never did find it.

I have lost jewelry a few times. I have not lost anything too expensive. I had a nice pair of gold stud earrings and lost one. I am still disappointed about that one though.

As I was reading I was wondering if you all took the sink off underneath to retrieve it, that's terrible that it wasn't retrieved.
