Title: Need cell phone expert
Post by: sfreeman8 on February 14, 2022, 11:36:03 am
Had this phone for a year. Always worked good. On Sunday when i turned it on it showed 3 download management bocks. Never had that before. it kept telling me the weather and screen would go dark. I couldn't get to my apps and every time I tried to slide  to another screen, it would tell me to double tap to open, but it never did. Also when I tried to slide to something else, it would come up to Speech rate 110, etc. every time I tried to slide to the other screen. Couldn't get settings to open, couldn't get to my apps, nothing. Took me an hour to shut the phone down. Don't know what happened to it.

Tried this morning again. Could get to Google settings but had nothing to do with the phone. It was very hard to get back to home screen. yeah, could do that after 1/2 hour. Still can't get to apps, the weather, or anything else. Screen still goes dark in a few seconds but if I moved it side to side or up and down in my hand, it pops up againand the voice keeps telling me to double tap to open nothing happens. Any ideas on what I can do?  I shut the phone down again. Frustrating. Gotta shut the voide up. Driving me crazy. It's a broken record. It's crazy.

Google it or check the dealer's website. Possible call the service number for the phone. They might have some suggestions.

We have phones now that I'd just as soon throw into the lake, but they cost too much. They certainly are an exercise in patience, I must say. I hope your phone makes a miraculous recovery for you so you don't have to resort to a new phone. Good luck.  :peace:

Thanks!  After 2 days, I finally got the "speech" turned down to zero then  got a quick message from Google asking me how I liked something. Answered "it was horrible."  and shut the phone off again. Next day, turned it on and everything was back to normal!  Really weird. So far so good with the phone now.

Cell phones are like cars, one user and used will work for me.  My phone started out over $600.  I paid half that used and with warranty.
