Your thoughts? I personally think she is extremely activist. Also, do you think it odd that she could not define what a woman is? ::)

She may have a qualifying background but she doesn't have the qualities necessary to follow the constitutional law. She is arrogant. She has proved she has her own ideas and doesn't follow guidelines when sentencing criminals. She refused to answer some questions but did a good job of a runaround to those questions. The way the Dems are praising her was sickening, especially Cory Booker. It's as if they think she'll be the only Justice on SCOTUS and will make all the decisions. I really don't think she's going to be a team player and that's necessary on the Court.
She will be confirmed, though, because Dems are using the racist card once again and Republicans are afraid to step on toes, with the exception of a couple.

The problem is that there are very few stateman anymore where they try to do what is best for the country, right now it is either for themselves or their party. It's unfortunate the president said he was going to choose a black woman for the the supreme court rather than the best candidate. It immediately calls into question her qualifications.

I forgot to mention, alina6 and sfreeman8, that I appreciated your responses re: SCOTUS candidate.
A little late, of course, but heartfelt. I just love that word; heartfelt.

Would we rather have SCOTUS candidates give indirect answers or just outright lie? Sure she gave an answer that didn't call out how stupid the question was but Trump's nominees all got up there lied when asked about Roe V Wade saying it was "established law" and then as soon as they were in and no longer had any consequences for lying ruled to overturn it.

They didn't lie about anything. What exactly did they lie about?

Like when Kavanaugh lied about all those women he sexually abused or Devil's Triangle is a drinking game. There was also when Kavanaugh, Barrett, and Gorsuch said Roe was established law when questioned by the Senate. The key thing to remember about the Supreme Court is that it is a hyper partisan institution much like Congress. People only pretend it has legitimacy as non-partisan defender of the constitution when it suits them. They are all activist judges, you only don't like them when they are activist for things you don't care for.

Nothing of what you said was lied about. Kavanaugh did not sexually abuse anyone. Roe v. Wade was established law at the time of their Senate hearings. They were not asked to promise that they would not overturn it should an appropriate case come before the Court challenging the hold in Roe.
They did not lie.

Nah dude, he lied, he totally did abuse those women. Re-watch those hearings, no man who is innocent reacts that way. I get the he likes beer argument is pretty strong because there are no laws when you're drinking White Claw but at the time of the crimes White claw had not been invented yet.
