Off-Topic / Re: How Many Kids Do You Have?

I have 4 children, 1 boy and 3 girls. I like doing the online thing in my spare time, but it has nothing to do with me having kids. I work a full time job and when its me time this is what I do.

Off-Topic / Re: Which is beer or liquor better?

I don't know which is better, but I mainly drink beer.  I have children too and when I drink I don't want to get totally hammered. The thing is you have have to drink both in moderation. Whichever one you decide to drink you can over do, so drink what you like just be mindful of what your limits are.

I have to admit that Steel Magnolia's would have to be my number one chick flick as for the rest of the genre's I have no idea. I love comedy, and generally like almost anything that features Will Ferrell and Adam Sandler. However, we did go and see The Hangover this last weekend and it was hilarious.

I had totally forgotten about Steel Magnolia's, that is a movie that I watch over and over. So it too is one of my favorites. I am also a huge Adam Sandler and Will Ferrell fan. I have seen every movie those two have ever been in.  And last but not least, The Hangover was definitely funny as h***.

I am one of those people who can't pick a favorite. There are so many movies that I love for different reasons and they are all my favorites. So just to name a few: Gone with the wind, Grease, The Sound of Music, Pretty Woman, The Wedding Singer, Of Human Bondage, Singing in the Rain, Jezebel, Selena, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, etc....

As you can see my taste is all over the place, but l love them all.

Off-Topic / Do you believe in love at first sight?
« on: June 17, 2009, 01:43:45 am »Message ID: 62712
I don't know if I do or not. I do believe that you can meet someone and know that this person is you lifemate. Does that mean the same as love at first sight? I don't know. When I was young I saw my husband for the first time and I knew he would be mine, but at that particular time I was underage. I went on with my life, and totally forgot that I even thought he was the one, until one day he was back in my life. We have been together ever since. That being said, I still don't know if it was love at first sight or not. Do you believe in love at first sight? Why or Why not?

What is your favorite genre?

My first love is r&b, after that is pop, country, and light rock. I used to like rap, when it was about something. Now it just gets on my nerves.

I think that if someone wants to get married they should have that right, rather they or straight or gay. Who are we to judge? That's what the problem is everyone thinks that it should be their way, but it doesn't work like that. The only opinions that matters is those involved in the decision and God. If you are a believer in God, I am, then you should not put yourself in a postion to judge others. It is not our place to judge.
I guess I just don't understand why people are opposed. If a gay couple is getting married it doesn't affect anyone but them. If we mind our own business, it wouldn't be a problem.

Sorry, I am a rambler.

I read a lot of books when I was a kid, but I have to say the one that sticks is Little Women by Louisa M. Alcott.( I hope I spelled that right) Anyway, I think I got it in the second or third grade and that is one I will go back to time and time again.

The books that I am going to recommend don't fit into your category, but they are really great reads. The fever series by Karen Marie Moning and the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris.

Actually, the first time I read one of her books it was given to me as a gift. After that I was hooked. I am totally into paranormal and urban fantasty and also time travel. Her books fit into one or all of these genres. If you ever get the chance check her out. She is a really outstanding author.

What is your favorite movie starring Tom Hanks?

Mine is Big. So many people say Forrest Gump, but Big is it for me.  After that I would say Splash.

Off-Topic / Booklovers: Have u read any books by Karen Marie Moning?

One of my all time favorite authors has a new book slated to be released in August. It is part of a series that I love, The Fever Series. I am head over heels in love with Karen Marie Moning's work. The woman is an absolute genius. Have you ever read any of her books. If so which ones, If not why not?

I have read them all and am waiting for the next book that I mentioned above. She has two series that are seperate, but related slighty. If you want to know more about her books check out her website at www.karenmoning.com You will be able to find the entire list of her books and read synopsis from each, maybe a chapter or two.
