I was wondering if anyone has actually checked this game out. It has eaten away so many hours since I bought it last February.

As a huge fan of the Harry Potter series, I feel sorry for those who haven't read it.  It is the story of good vs. evil, of choosing your own destiny regardless of what was "prophesied" for you, and learning from your mistakes.  These are all lessons that much of humanity still need to learn.

Dig for Children’s Remains Begins at Canada’s Oldest Residential School
Sovereign Mohawk Nation commences groundbreaking investigation of mass murder by Church and State

Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Es109fRbMYQ

BRANTFORD, ONTARIO – Elders of the Mohawk Nation in collaboration with the International Tribunal into Crimes of Church and State (ITCCS) and its Secretary, Kevin Annett, announced today the

commencement of forensic excavations on the grounds of the oldest Indian residential school in Canada - the Mohawk Institute run by the Church of England.

Frustrated by the ongoing whitewash by the Canadian government of the murder of residential school children by Catholic and Protestant churches, the Sovereign Mohawk nation of Grand River has begun digging for children’s remains to “finally give them a proper burial and bring to trial those who killed them”, to quote Mohawk elder Bill Squire.

Squire and eight other Mohawk elders have granted authorization to Kevin Annett and the ITCCS to conduct Ground Penetrating Radar surveys and excavations at the Brantford residential school in order to bring the evidence obtained to International tribunals and human rights courts.

Initial evidence obtained at these digs today confirmed eyewitness accounts of the deaths and burial of children at the Brantford school, as well as the cover up of their remains.

The Mohawk elders and the ITCCS are issuing a call to other indigenous nations to commence similar excavations at former Indian residential schools across Canada, rather than rely on the Canadian government and its churches for justice or disclosure.

Further updates will be released as the excavations continue.

Off-Topic / Re: What's ur favorite fruit

I have been on a pineapple kick this summer.  I also love love love strawberries.  My all time favorite fruit, though, is grapefruit.  My friends and I used to joke and we'd categorize our boyfriends by fruit names.  For me, if I was lukewarm, he was an apple.  If I liked him but I wasn't sure of how much I liked him, he was an orange.  If he was the one, he was my grapefruit.  I've been married to my grapefruit for the past two years, and we've been together for over 5 now.

Pineapple and roasted red peppers, and mix a bit of the pineapple juice in the pizza sauce.  Or a plain banana pepper and cheese pizza.  Or a mushroom and spinach pizza with a white sauce and feta cheese with the mozzarella and parmesan.  Or a plain thick crust with mushrooms, green peppers, and onions... I love pizza.  :)

Debate & Discuss / Re: Do you believe in the afterlife?

I do not, but I definitely know many people who made me wish there was a hell just for them.

Wow, amyrouse.  I'm really surprised to see you say this.  NO ONE deserves to be tortured forever, regardless of what they did while alive.

Passe attitudes about hell make me sick.  Where is your humanity?  I don't like all people in general as a rule, but even I have basic humanity to know that wishing torture to other human beings is WRONG.

I know...I agree with you, QON.  I was in a very bad place when I wrote this.  I'm still partially there.  I really try to see the good in all people, but sometimes the things I see take a toll on me, the things I see people do to the people they claim to love and honor...it makes me ill.  I feel like Sam L. Jackson in Pulp Fiction...I'm trying to be the shephard, but sometimes its really hard... call it a moment of weakness.  Its my human nature: I can name some people that I would like to see suffer, but I really don't want to see them suffer, if it makes any sense.  I don't know if any of this makes any sense.   :dontknow:

Debate & Discuss / Re: What kind of dream do you have and why don't you dare to make it come true??
« on: August 28, 2011, 11:57:55 am »Message ID: 408098
I used to dream of being the President of the US, then I started studying political science and changed my mind.  I then decided I wanted to go to law school and one day become the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, until I studied for and took the LSAT, which was the single hardest test I have ever taken in my life.  I decided to attend graduate school instead to study Public Administration, which was one of the best decisions of my life.  I became a grad assistant in the health department at my school and met my husband.  While I was studying PA, I dreamed of moving to D.C. and to work toward starting a non-profit group dedicated to lobbying and protecting patients rights.  In the meantime, life happened, bad things happened, and I was content to cling to my husband and start a family.  Now, my dream is to be the best person I can be, the best wife and mother I can be, and to do a good job at work.  Whether that leads me to rabbinical school or to attempt the LSAT again in the quest for law school, or to apply to work with the Southern Poverty Law Center in an administrative capacity, it doesn't matter as much as the effect I have on the most important people in my life: my family.  So, although right now I am not living the substance of my childhood dreams, my life is better than I ever dreamed it would be.

I'm too afraid of losing control.  I get the shakes and I cry.  I can't even laugh uncontrollably because of my PTSD.

I think the tea partyists are destroying our country, honestly.  The money doesn't matter as much to me as the welfare of our citizens does.  When I see the suggestion that entitlements get cut so that the very rich can keep more of their money while others do without, it worries me.  People are getting more selfish these days.

For decorating, I like earth tones.  My walls are twig brown and thicket green.  I love 70's decorating, especially like owl motifs.  In my clothing, I tend to wear darker colors, like browns and blacks.  I do like reds and whites, though, and I live in dark blue jeans.

I'm sad to hear all the countless heartless jokes people are still making about her.  I love her voice, but her songs were not my style.  I find it sad, all around.  Still waiting to hear the results of the autopsy, though.

I don't have much time to get really bored.  I keep myself pretty busy.  In my free time at work, I craft chainmaille jewelry and catch up with facebook, and at home I'm either cleaning, spending time with my daughter (like watching a movie or going out to play in her sand box or swim, plus we bake together: I measure out the ingredients and she pours them in), or spending time with my husband.  I've been so busy the last few weeks that I haven't been able to go see the new Harry Potter movie, which disappoints me greatly!

Like I said before, I hope he does.  I don't see Obama giving speeches under "Mission Accomplished!" banners, because that would be dishonest.  Obama knows there is a long road to go, and I have seen positives from him.  Plus, at this point, all the Republicans that have been offered up for presidential nominee scare me.  Don't even get me started on the tea party.

Homemade potato soup and tomato bisque.  I prefer my soups in the winter, though, and not the summer.
