« on: April 24, 2013, 05:09:58 pm »Message ID: 725777
what are your weakness, your vice?
things you just can't turn down, be it food or otherwise.

-clearance racks
-vanilla scented anything
-nail polish
-potato chips (i can say no to sweets all day, but don't
put me infront of a bag of chips!)

Off-Topic / Tanning beds & lotions
« on: April 07, 2013, 02:42:58 pm »Message ID: 717648
pale, freckled redheads have a hard time getting a nice color.
i'm becoming more active with exercise and i plan to be outside
more often this summer than i ever have before, but i'd like to
build a base tan so i won't have to worry about burning so easily...

i've started laying about 4 - 5 minutes at a salon (low level bed).
i'm wondering about good lotions that DO NOT have bronzers??
i plan to buy them on ebay or amazon since they are WAY cheaper
than at the salon.

Off-Topic / Local Fairs & Festival
« on: March 11, 2013, 09:14:32 pm »Message ID: 702975
do you ever attend the fairs or festivals when they make
their way through your area?

i haven't been to one since moving to ohio a few years ago,
but i got a flyer in the mail recently about a "maple syrup"
festival that's taking place nearby soon. sounds neat!

Off-Topic / St. Patty's day TREATS?
« on: March 05, 2013, 08:12:53 pm »Message ID: 699589
does anyone have any good recipes for desserts, treats, or snacks
with a green (or rainbow) theme for st. pat's? i usually whip up something
for work to share with co-workers... but i've googled and just haven't
came across anything that looks interesting.

i'm kinda tired of cookies/cakes...

Offers / Daily "Surveyhead"
« on: March 03, 2013, 12:13:06 pm »Message ID: 697958
i've noticed that when i click on the daily surveyhead offer,
it kicks me to the sign-up page on their website. i signed up
awhile ago, so i just went ahead and logged in. a survey list
shows up at the bottom of my account page, but my question
is, do these surveys link back to fusioncash??

i haven't tried surveyhead in awhile, but i remember it used to
automatically link me to a survey, or atleast the qualifying question
portion before a survey...

anyone know?

Off-Topic / Coffee? Weeeee!
« on: December 07, 2012, 07:33:24 pm »Message ID: 653738
i'm NOT a coffee drinker. i don't like the taste and it basically
has to be sugar/milk water before i'll drink it. i had some time
to kill this morning before work, so on a whim i stopped and got
a cup of coffee as a little pick-me-up...

"pick-me-up" is an understatement! i was hyper ALL DAY.
my co-workers couldn't stop laughing at me. i was a bit out of
character, but the funny part was, i enjoyed it

my coffee loving friends have always told me i was missing out
and now i understand what they mean

Off-Topic / Making your own bread from scratch...
« on: November 10, 2012, 06:24:56 pm »Message ID: 639372
a relative of mine used to make homemade bread
and i never forgot the amazing taste. after recently
acquiring a bread maker from a very nice co-worker of mine,
i looked up some recipes and started with traditional
white bread. the results were wonderful!

what the heck have i been eating in those plastic bags
from the store?! this stuff is amazing! i love discovering
new things, and homemade bread is no exception

(it even makes the butter taste twice as good!)

Off-Topic / ZUMBA!
« on: October 03, 2012, 06:29:29 pm »Message ID: 616215
does anyone take zumba, or have taken it in the past?

tonight was my third class, and i think i will be sticking with it!
i found somewhere that fits with my schedule AND is very
inexpensive compared to gyms and such ($5 a class with no
commitments!)'s a pretty intense workout, and i don't really
know what i'm doing, but neither does anyone else  :D

Off-Topic / Gold Canyon buying / selling
« on: September 03, 2012, 04:00:07 pm »Message ID: 599021
gold canyon is a candle company that markets their
product through catalogs and parties, like avon
and thirty-one gifts. i have a friend who started selling
it and i bought a few scent pods from her.

has anyone tried the candles? have you ever hosted
a party or know anyone who sells it? i tossed around
the idea, but not sure if the starter kit is worth the
investment  :dontknow:

Off-Topic / Skin care products/home remedies
« on: August 14, 2012, 09:09:07 pm »Message ID: 587837
i have very dry skin, which has gotten better since i've
basically cut out most beverages besides water, but i still
have to use a lot of moisturizer. i like to use the avacado/oatmeal
mask creams during my before-bed routine.

what kind of skin do you have, and what products do you like
including home remedies?

Off-Topic / negative work environment
« on: June 03, 2012, 08:09:10 pm »Message ID: 547531
how do you deal with a jealous, passive aggressive or negative co-workers?

i deal with this on a daily basis. i realize that i shouldn't
take it personally and that the root of the problem lies within
the serious insecurities of others... but my kindness-shaped
knife just isn't killing 'em fast enough ::)

Off-Topic / smartphones...(worth it?)
« on: January 23, 2012, 07:31:07 pm »Message ID: 479568
i have verizon and i'm due for an upgrade. i qualify for a few free
smartphones (it would be my first one) but the minimum data package
is $30!

seriously, that would put our bill at nearly $140 a month.
am i the only one that finds this ridiculous? a free smartphone sounds
so enticing it really worth it?

Off-Topic / how to get the house to SMELL GOOD?
« on: December 03, 2011, 09:34:19 pm »Message ID: 456102
it's not that my place smells bad, but i live with
a smoker and our cat. we keep the litter box tidy but
it still just seems... stale. i want to walk in the door and
be greeted with an inviting scent that is long-lasting...

any suggestions? what do YOU like to use to keep your house fresh?

just make sure to click through all of the ads at the
beginning of the offer and you'll eventually get to the
photo uploading part.

Off-Topic / scents and memories...
« on: November 06, 2011, 05:03:14 pm »Message ID: 443356
they say scent is the strongest sense tied
to memory. can you think of one that always reminds
you of something specific? good or bad?

the smell of coffee brewing makes me think of my dad.
he constantly has a cup in his hands... always has.
this smell makes me think of him.
