I am having some lab work done.  I think my doctor suspects MRSA.  Has anyone here had it?  If so, what were the initial symptoms.

Off-Topic / Cymbalta

Several years ago, my doctor gave me a prescription for Cymbalta.  Since it had not been on the market long, I found the prescription was over $200 and my insurance did not cover any of it.  Now, a few years later and dozens more of the same class of drug on the market, I am able to get it for just over $8.00.  I am now in the process of tapering off another drug for depression, arthritis, and fibromyalgia before starting Cymbalta.  I am wondering if anyone here has taken Cymbalta and if it helped you.  I'm afraid I'm going to be disappointed.  I'm desperate to find something for my pain.  It has been overwhelming for the past several months.  Does anyone have any experience with it?

Are you a true crime reader?  I am an addict and have been for a long time.  I am also a big fan of Investigation Discovery, and Ann Rule is one of my favorite authors.  You probably wouldn't believe that unless you knew me.  I am an old lady who is very meed and mild.  Why do think some of the most peaceful on Earth like to read and watch true crime?

I am seeing a sleep doctor soon and may undergo a sleep study.  Have any of you ever done that, and what was your experience?

I recently received an invitation for a "Sip and See" party for a new product line - Plexus products for weight loss and health. Does anyone here know anything about Plexus or have ever used it?

Off-Topic / Slenderman Court Case
« on: February 21, 2015, 12:57:05 pm »Message ID: 961078
I watched the 20/20 segment on Slenderman with David Muir last night.  I know that young minds are impressionable, but I could not believe 12-year-olds would believe that.  And even the victim could not make up her mind whether she believed it or not before the attack.  At least she asked her mother.  I was curious about your thoughts on (1):  Parents should be more interactive with their children, especially adolescents on the internet.  (2)  Do you believe the two girls who attacked the victim should be tried in juvenile or adult court?  and (3)  Do you remember when you were 12 and what your childhood fantasies were?  I'm much too old to remember much of my childhood, but a fantasy I do remember was going to France and being an art student.  I also fantasized about being a queen or a princess.  I don't think harming anyone ever entered my mind when I was that age.  I think the media is raising a lot of children with very warped ideas.  (Don't get me wrong.  I do not believe in doing away with the media.  It has a lot of good things.  I just mean children should be monitored more close.y.)

Now there was a real journalist!  I'm sorry to hear of his death.  I will certainly miss him.  I am a great fan of CBS and 60 Minutes.

Off-Topic / I Am A Serial Dreamer!
« on: February 03, 2015, 09:42:49 pm »Message ID: 956777
Three or four years ago, I had a dream about attending a Christmas party for the bank that I used to for.  I dreamed I was about the age when I began work there, many years ago.  I met a man I didn't know who offered me a glass of champagne.  In it was some sort of drug, and I passed out.  When I woke up, I was in a hallway, wearing no clothes.  The woman who did the hiring, Cathy, (she was a real person) looked at me and yelled, "You're fired."  I tried to explain to her what I thought happened, but she wouldn't listen.  Ever since that first dream, I have, every few weeks or months, had another installment of that same situation, most of them trying to proclaim my innocence.  Many of the people in my dreams are real people that I remember from that time.  Last night I dreamed I was retiring from the bank.  (Apparently I was rehired at some point.)  I knew they were planning to give me a retirement party, but I walked out as the people were arriving for the party.

I do dream a lot, and they are always very vivid, but I don't have any other dreams that run like a TV series.  Do you?

I am wondering if anyone is experiencing something else that I have in the past couple of weeks.  When I get to Step 3 of PTC and click on the first content page, the 2 1/2 minute timer goes back to the original 2 1/2 minutes no matter how much time has counted down.  I don't understand this.

I am pulling my hair out (what hair I have left).  The Captchas I'm getting on Click On are driving me crazy.  They are completely unreadable.  I am clicking unreadable ones over and over.  This is ridiculous!

Off-Topic / I can't believe it's almost 2015!!

I realize more than ever that the old saying is true - that time passes faster the older we get (or seems to).  Surely it was only last week that we saw 2014 come in and now it's time to welcome in 2015.  I wish all of you a New Year filled with joy and peace.

...or have you ever heard of it?  I think it is relatively rare.  I am now 72 and I had my first experience when I was in my 20s, although I didn't know what it was for years.  While I was doing floor exercises, I had a severe pain in what I thought was my stomach.  After many years of researching and even asking doctors, who had never heard of the symptom, I found that it is much like arthritis, which I have.  When bending at a severe angle, the cartilage between my ribs will feel like my ribs are overlapping each other.  Then I have to slowly unbend.  Talk about excruciating pain!!  The cartilage is wearing away just like in arthritis.  I have learned not to bend over like that, for the most part.  (I occasionally forget.)

I have found that ER doctors know more about it than regular doctors, because many times patients will come in thinking they are having a heart attack, as the pain usually starts out higher than mine did - in the upper chest.
