I am going down to Texas next month to see my dad and he lives on a lake and they are in a drought so am hoping they will get some rain so that i can go on his boat!! I live in Illinois and we have had sooo much !!!

Off-Topic / Teach your kids to swim

I strongly believe that basic survival swimming is a life skill. I believe it is something like learning to walk, ride a bike a part of life. I hear on the news of people drowning and feel strongly that this is preventable. When i was a child i was put in swim lessons and am grateful that i am able to swim as i am 22 years old and many of my close friends cannot swim at all!!! Basically they stand in the child section and thats it!! People please try to teach your children to swim it could save their lives. I understand that many people do not have time or money to invest in this and feels like an activity but just may help you when you get into a life threatening situation

I used to only shop online for small things like a charger knick knacks but I just bought shoes online for a good price and it actually worked out really good they fit and looked good!!! I was always hesitant to buy clothes or shoes online that they wont fit or I wont like but with living at college having limited transportation and full money back returning I tried at worked out great!! I am thinking to buy a nice blazer for business casual I need for school but am still a little hesitant what are people opinions for online shopping?

I have always wanted to make a garden with fruits and vegetables it just seems like it would be convenient when cooking but I am sure that I would have a very hard time managing one anybody have one?

I am going to graduate next year and am terrified of not getting a job I have been trying to get internships get good experiences working for department or become a teachers assistant and so forth any advice you can give me that will help besides the few I have mentioned?

Off-Topic / How do you feel about the military throwing bombs virtually using technology?

I just watched in class today a movie on digital divide and saw a part where the military in las vegas would use droids and cameras to follow the "bad guys" and would bomb them virtually with technology not being able to see inside the building as who was in the building and see the casualties just saw a bunch of smoke and then would just go home to their families from dinner after their shift. I found this appalling of course i do not know all that is involved and the full story but this is outrageous to me that this is allowed to happen!!! I do not think this is ethical at all to be bombing people and buildings without being physically there in the clip they said they followed this bad guy through his day going to the park playing soccer with kids and then went to meet some bad people in the building and then bombed the building and said that they do not believe others were in the building to me this is crazy !!! How do you guys feel about this?

My eye has been twitching for the last week or so and I have looked up why and got a few reasons and the ones I can think of would be stress or nutritional imbalances anyone else ever had this?

i am 22 and i still order from the kids menu from time to time and do not understand whats wrong with it sometimes i am not that hungry to order a full meal and kids menu is a smaller portion. I have had some people not allow me to and do not understand you are getting money who cares yes its less but i could just not have at all and just leave!!! I just do not understand why is matters does anyone else feel the same? or not?

I try to when I can give a few dollar here and there. But I also try to directly do things to help people in need small things its very easy, like if I get leftovers from a restaurant and I know there is a homeless person in a certain area I will drive by and give it to them, or if I see someone struggling bringing out their groceries will help them I am not saying in any way that I am a great person but there are little ways to just make this world a better place!!! Try to incorporate one thing a day a week a month whatever you can it all adds up to a more friendlier and caring world!!!

I LOVE chocolate cheesecakes I have had some good godiva kinds of cheesecakes at the cheesecake factory or different places and LOVE them and was wondering if anyone had a good recipe they have tried ?
