Off-Topic / recipes

I love to cook and collect recipes.  So, I wanted to post something on here that my friends and I did a while back.  One of my friends posted this idea on Facebook and it did very well! First you post your favorite recipe, and then others respond by posting theirs along with a response to the recipe sounded.  For example:  I post a recipe for homemade soup...then the next person responds to how they think my soup would taste and also with tips on what they might add or remove. Then, after they do that, they post their favorite recipe and it goes on like that.  This is great for people like me who love to collect recipes, because if everyone does this right, then each person would have an abundance of new recipes!!!  Also, you can get your recipe from a book, family member, or web site.  Just make sure it is one of your absolute favorites!

My recipe is for Italian Sausage and Penne pasta.....

1lb smoked sausage, cut into slices
1 onion
1 clove of garlic mined
1 lb of penne noodles (you can substitute these with another kind of noodle if you wish)
1 can of Italian stewed tomatoes
1 jar of the Mezzetta roasted red peppers
fresh grated Parmesan cheese
1 (6oz)can tomato sauce
olive oil

Heat olive oil in non-stick skillet on med high heat.  Saute sausage, onion, and garlic until tender.  Meanwhile cook noodles according to directions.  Next add stewed tomatoes, roasted red peppers, and tomato sauce to the sausage mix.  Cover and simmer until noodles are done and ready to be served.  Serve sauce on top of noodles and cover with Parmesan cheese.

Off-Topic / potty training infants?

I recently read on-line where an actress was already potty training her 5mo old child!  I couldn't believe it.  The baby was actually going to the bathroom when she put him over the toilet.  I personally think that is rushing the baby to grow up to quickly.  This is just my opinion, I mean if it works for her then great job! I am just curious what others think about this.

Off-Topic / working on Sundays & holidays
« on: November 03, 2011, 10:40:24 am »Message ID: 441757
I am a Christian and personally I don't think it is right to work on Sundays, Christmas, or Easter.  I understand that people have to work, but I think that if someone specifies that they do not feel that it is right on Sundays, Christmas, and Easter then the employer should respect that.  I don't think an employee should be punished or looked down on for not working.  There are people out there that don't feel as strongly as I do and don't care about working no matter what day it is.  As I said, this is just my belief, I like to see what others think about this.  Please respond in respect.  I respect other beliefs as long as mine is respected.  :angel11:
