Noticed a few times lately that there are duplicate topics here on the Forum and I was just wondering why someone would start the same topic again? Do you just forget that you already asked that question, or couldn't find it later? Just wondering....

Off-Topic / School Supplies Needed

Yesterday, we took our daughter up to pick up her schedule for the upcoming school year. She is going into seventh grade at the middle school. Along with her schedule we also received all the paperwork that we need to fill out and a list of supplies that the teachers want us to buy. When we were school, my mom never had to buy us supplies, they were at the school. as part of why we pay school tax. For the last few years it seems we have been asked to buy more and more. This years list has really frustrated me, don't they understand that if the school cant afford basic supplies, parents probably cant either. If it was just some paper and pencils I wouldn't mind either, but nope, this list includes a 3" 3 ring binder that at Walmart is 5.oo. and then 2- 1" three ring binders, folders with three holes already punched in them, but with no metal prongs, colored pencils, calculator, pencil pouch, at least 2 boxex of Kleenex, and this is just part of the list, other things will be added as needed. Am I the only one that finds this getting a little out of hand?

Anybody been watching the Little League World Series? What do you think? I enjoy it, love to see the young kids having so much fun. Some of these boys are really good. I am currently watching Tennessee and Texas, they are really playing well.

Off-Topic / What do you grow in your yard?

This is the first summer in our new home, and I want to grow so much stuff, but it is going to take me a few years to get the things I want.
I do have two apple (GREEN) trees, a pear tree, strawberries, blueberries and grapes. Of course this is all besides my actual garden.
My neighbor has cherry trees,(delicious) I cant wait to grow those too. I love my new home!!!

What do you grow in your yard?  I would love any ideas!!

I was just talking to my mom and I visited with my dad earlier today, so I got to thinking, how often do you normally see or talk to your parents?
