Support / Tasks
« on: April 03, 2018, 12:59:37 pm »Message ID: 1207429
I've always worked the tasks.  Today when I went to the task page it came up "welcome to Figure Eight".   Said to sign in and I did the way I always did.  It said I had to have a facebook page, which I do, and attempted to sign in with my facebook page, also used my email.   Won't let me forward to the tasks.  Wondered if anyone else was having any issues and if anyone has any suggestions.   Thanks

Off-Topic / Hummingbirds

I know it's the end of summer when my hummingbirds stop coming to my feeders.   They have begun their migration.  I enjoy watching them each spring throughout the summer.   I'll leave my feeders up for a few more weeks for those who may be passing through on their way south.   See you next spring little ones.

Support / Email problem
« on: February 05, 2016, 04:28:30 pm »Message ID: 1044572
I am receiving this message on a lot of the pages I have visited today on FC:   Action Required: Your email address (******) is not receiving our messages. When attempting to send you an email, we encountered this error: Other undefined Status. Please update your email address, checking carefully for typographical errors. You should also confirm that the account is still active.

I did receive my daily email this morning.  My balance is also okay.  I did submit a support ticket but there is a note on that page saying they are behind in responses so response time may be slow.   I did try to "verify" my email on my account page but I received the same notice.

Has anyone had this problem and how did you solve it?    The email listed in the above notice is my correct email   This is making me a bit nervous.

Offers / Barbie commercial
« on: November 06, 2015, 06:39:03 am »Message ID: 1023745
I have never been a fan of Barbie, until I saw the commercial  under Videos.   Genus commercial and wonder why they don't put it on TV.   I rank this commercial number 1 for toy commercials.   The little girls in it are fantastic.   Love this video.

Offers / Pine Cone Panel
« on: July 10, 2015, 12:36:11 pm »Message ID: 995960
I suggest anyone who doesn't already belong to PineCone Research to grab the offer from FC.   Pine Cone is not an easy panel to get into.  You can only join when they have invitations.   I've belonged to them for quite a while now and it's a legitimate and great survey panel that also offers product tests.   They send you emails with invitations to surveys.  Each survey pays $3.00.   It's a great panel to belong to and FC offering $1.50 is a great deal.   Jump on this one folks.  You won't regret it.

Off-Topic / ESPN reporter rant (Britt McHenry)
« on: April 19, 2015, 07:22:21 am »Message ID: 975528
Wondering what others think about the Britt McHenry rant on a tow trucker employee. The insults thrown at the female employee were personally offensive and Britt came across as "I'm better than anyone", insulting the woman's looks, weight, education, etc.   Watching it I felt it was extremely hurtful and arrogant.   Glad it was caught on video tape.  She has been suspended by ESPN for one week and many are calling for her to be fired.    Some are saying this tow truck company has a shady reputation and that Britt's car was towed illegally.   Wonder if people feel the punishment of one week's suspension is enough or should she be fired.

Curious if anyone else is as excited as I am about the return of The X-Files.   I loved this program and the movie.   Was relieved when I realized both Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny were both on board.   They said only 6 new episodes but I'm hoping for more.   I hope it's as good as the original series.

Off-Topic / Loss of a beloved pet
« on: March 01, 2015, 06:46:48 am »Message ID: 963440
Yesterday (Saturday) we lost our cat of 15 years.  We knew for several days he was on his last days.  He wasn't in any pain and mostly slept peacefully in our laps or laying on the floor as we continually petted him.   We chose to let him die at home rather than have him euthanized because there was no pain and he seemed so peaceful.   Suddenly he just stopped breathing.    Although we knew it was happening and we were thrilled we had 15 years with him, the tears still flowed.    We also have a small dog and him and our cat were like best friends.   They were always laying/sleeping together and the cat always licked our dog as he feel asleep.  Now our dog (Midas) seems lost.   Wandering around the house looking for his best friend.  There, of course, seems no way to comfort Midas except to play with him and let him lay in my lap.  As sad as I am, I am even sadder for my dog.   I know some will think it's silly but it just hurts so much to see him wander around the house looking for Puck (our cat).
Although I said, no more, I already am feeling that urge to go get a new kitten.   How did any of you handle it if/when you lost a pet.    Immediately get another or wait?    My husband is leaving it up to me.

Off-Topic / Saturday Night Live 40th Anniversary Reunion

Watched it, loved it.  Maybe it tells my age but I really enjoyed the clips of the older shows.   How I loved Gilda Radner.  We missed out on a lot of comedy when we lost her.   So many fun clips and stars.   But I can't help but wonder what it must have been like backstage with all the egos.   Anyone else watch?
