Off-Topic / It's Cinco de Mayo but...
« on: May 05, 2020, 01:25:28 am »Message ID: 1323780
 did we miss "May the 4th be with you" yesterday?  Well, no matter, because we'll have to figure out how to celebrate Cinco de Mayo in these pandemic times.  Anybody got plans?  Any ideas on how to celebrate when most everyone is still in lockdown?

Off-Topic / March 4th - the only day of the year that is also a sentence.
« on: March 04, 2020, 09:58:59 pm »Message ID: 1315681
March Fourth might not sound like a special date, but it’s actually an unofficial holiday. March Fourth—or “march forth”—is day that’s dedicated to working towards your goals, whatever they may be. It’s a day to “March Forth” and do something— something you’ve always wanted to do, or something that you know needs to be done.

Hope the above blurb is inspiring.  So, March 4th, everybody on FusionCash!!

FusionCash / It is 1-20-2020 & my earnings are at $20.20
« on: January 20, 2020, 04:00:20 pm »Message ID: 1309784
As the ball dropped in Times Square to usher in 2020 there was a funny bit on CNN's New Year's Eve Live.  Anderson Cooper completely lost his composure while Cheri Oteri replayed her SNL version of Barbara Walters in order to say, "This is 2020."  Of course, we've all heard longtime host, Ms. Walters, say "twenty twenty" for years on ABC's news magazine show, 20/20.  So, this just had to happen.  LOL

So, now it is -- Jan. 20, 2020.  Today I finally reached $20.20 in earnings on FC!!  [cue Barbara Walters, please] LOL

Current balance is: $20.20
[ $17.20 in offers,
   $3.00 in bonuses  ]

Off-Topic / What's the weather like in your neck o' the woods?
« on: January 09, 2020, 10:50:28 pm »Message ID: 1308538
Here we are in early January and the weather can really turn on you.  Yikes!  In North Texas it is expected to be unseasonably warm -- if breaks in the clouds occur to cause a rise in temperature -- then we are in for isolated supercells bringing damaging winds, tornadoes, hail and flooding.  Then the temps plunge to the 30s by Sat. morning.  The outlook is so bad the Governor has posted that resources are on standby to assist local officials in the event they are needed.

What's happening in your neck o' the woods?

Off-Topic / 12 Days of Christmas
« on: December 27, 2019, 04:42:23 pm »Message ID: 1306624
I would expect most everyone has heard of the 12 days of Christmas or Twelvetide -- between Dec. 25 and the Epiphany (the arrival of the wise men from the East after 12 days' journey) on Jan. 6 -- the Christian celebration of the Nativity.  It has been interpreted to have hidden meanings, sung about, spoofed (all in good fun); nonetheless, respected as the events following the birth of Jesus have been reaffirmed throughout the ages.

As we are now in that period of time, does anyone have any thoughts, serious or otherwise (respectfully, of course), about those gifts named in the song, "The 12 Days of Christmas," starting with that partridge in the pear tree, two turtle doves, three French hens {for example -- representing faith, hope & love}, four calling birds, five gold rings, etc.?

Offers / Hey Quiz - Video Game Characters
« on: September 26, 2019, 06:49:03 pm »Message ID: 1294387
This quiz has been in my video list for days.  With Tap's ongoing non-loading issue I decided to give this one a try; it paid 8 cents.  I got 95% the first time (but I did access the internet, searching by character name and finding a picture) and 100% on the second attempt.

It wasn't bad since you have four choices -- I rather enjoyed it -- and I'm not much of a video game player.

Anybody else get this quiz?

Off-Topic / National Watermelon Day 2019 -- Aug. 3
« on: August 03, 2019, 01:15:56 pm »Message ID: 1286891
I didn't know this "holiday" existed because once watermelons start to ripen every day is watermelon day!  Love melons in the summertime.  But it poses the question ~ is it bad for you to eat a whole watermelon in one day?  Do you ever sprinkle salt on it?  Is anybody going to "celebrate" today?
