We bought our first Roku earlier this month and love it. We got Pluto TV channel and love the multi channels all on Pluto TV.
Does anyone on here have a Roku & if so what channel do you love most that is available on Roku home page?

Off-Topic / bicep strain
« on: August 10, 2017, 10:36:46 pm »Message ID: 1160698
Has anyone ever had issues with bicep strain if so how did you recover without seeking medical attention? Mine hurts a deep dull pain when I move my arm certain ways or lift my arm over my head. I have tried ice packs, epsom salt & cold compress. If anyone has any other suggestions though I would be grateful for them.

Off-Topic / Dollar Shave Club

My husband gets the monthly shave kit from dollar shave club & I thought I would pass along the savings code for NOW (Don't know how long they will do this)

First month for NEW users you pay only $1.00 NO shipping or taxes, just the dollar! Box includes a razor & four cartridges.
After you get your box you can either stay with them or cancel your monthly box & will not be charged for anything more. It is a great deal so I thought I would pass it along.

Off-Topic / Anyone subscribe to beauty boxes?
« on: November 07, 2016, 06:31:35 am »Message ID: 1103808
What ones do you subscribe to & would you recommend?

I have tried Ipsy for $10.00 a month in the past but was pretty upset with just five trial sized beauty products that didn't even last a week. The samples were from some good name branded companies but it's stuff I could get walking in the mall & going up to the counters, minus the cute small bag that did come with every monthly delivery but in my opinion not worth the ten dollars a month. I guess I wasn't lucky enough to receive a full sized product as many people claim in their monthly boxes, so I canceled my monthly subscription to them.

Now I use Walmart beauty box. They only do seasonal boxes, Winter, Spring, Summer & Fall and they charge $5.00 per seasonal box you sign up for. I have received two boxes from them so far & am pleased because I do get my money's worth.
My first box after signing up with them was the summer box and I was surprised because I had assumed it would only be samples as well with coupons but they also sent me two full sized items. My Fall box was just as exciting one full sized item, one deluxe sample, six regular samples & coupons. I would recommend this one because the money spent only four times a year (if you sign up for all four seasonal boxes) & the amount of items plus coupons you are getting is a great deal.

I know there are a lot of beauty boxes out there so what are some of the ones you have tried and liked or disliked?

Off-Topic / Wish.com Shopping Site
« on: September 18, 2016, 09:12:40 pm »Message ID: 1093582
Has anyone ever purchased anything from the site Wish.com? My friend got me into the site at the beginning of the month as everything on the site is extremely inexpensive. I have gotten a huge head start on my Christmas shopping due to the site.
Thought I would pass along what I have discovered and maybe see if anyone on here has ever used the site to purchase items from.

Off-Topic / Free Alternative to Cable
« on: September 01, 2016, 06:57:42 am »Message ID: 1089727
I decided to start this thread as some users on here don't have cable due to prices (as read on another thread)
Everything I am about to post is FREE services as you only need internet connection (home or wifi) NOTHING more! No email, no credit card- nothing!
These apps you can you use on your smartphone, computer and/or Xbox 360 (Not sure about other gaming consoles as the Xbox 360 is all we have)

1- Crackle (they post movies every month & they have their own original t.v. series, they even have popular Anime) -I did make a profile with only my Facebook so they remember my movies or t.v. shows I had been watching. www.crackle.com

2- Popcornflix (They post movies (new ones throughout the month) & older t.v. shows from past seasons) This one also has a kids section. And has a bigger selection then Crackle with both movies & t.v. shows but both sites have different movies & t.v. shows on them. www.popcornflix.com

I know there are more sites out there but the only reason I had saved these to my computer & got the apps on the gaming console is because the selection of movies are awesome & of course it is free.

Support / Pending Cash Out question
« on: August 29, 2016, 07:13:43 am »Message ID: 1088827
I requested my first cash out last month. I understand I will not receive anything until later.
My question is I have been reviewing all my Pending Cash Out but this morning I have one survey that says Denied.
Will I still get a check just minus that survey payout or will it all go back into my current balance? Yes even with this survey I still have way over the amount of $25.00
Just need some information on this. Thank you to all who read & anyone willing to help me understand.

Off-Topic / Electric bill
« on: August 17, 2016, 11:58:57 am »Message ID: 1086675
When TLC had the extreme cheapskate show on I would laugh at most of the ways people would go to the extreme to save money. I however did get really interested on the peak hours of the electric company. Our electric bill was always over $150.00 & the amounts this lady spent was so shocking to me. Of course I didn't get my bill as low as she did but I did make changes that really helped & lowered my bill under a $100.00.

Here is what I have been doing, using major appliances during off peak hours. (go to your electric company website & it will tell you when your off peak hours are in your area or whatever company you may use)
I only wash clothes in cold water on medium setting.
I only use the clothes dryer if I really have to (raining outside). A clothes line might be old time but considering how much it costs to run a dryer even on off peak hours is a huge chunk of the electric bill!
Unplug small appliances you do not use daily as they suck small amounts of electric. Not much but every outlet used even when item is NOT IN USE, still uses a small amount of electricity.

Are there anyways you have found to cut your electric bill down?
