Off-Topic / What do you feed your pet?
« on: January 18, 2018, 03:14:13 pm »Message ID: 1192347
If i had the option, I would make food from scratch for my two cats. One of them won't touch any kind of human food and the other only likes friskies surf and turf. They both delight in Meow Mix wet food, but hate any new healthy food that I try. (No, my cats do not mind their food being changed. I know a lot of others get finicky about changes in food, but mine don't.) They are just very picky. I've tried to make them steamed cat fish and they don't like that either. I hate that I'm feeding them bad food, but the old one doesn't really give me a choice. When she passes, the other cat will start a healthy diet.
What do ya'll feed your pets? Do you put any stock in healthy pet food?

Off-Topic / Heating pads for cats?
« on: January 17, 2018, 10:47:24 am »Message ID: 1192157
I just got a heating pad and was going to let my very old cat sit on it but the instructions said not to. Couldn't figure out why. I ended up putting it on low and letting her sit on it for five minutes. Doesn't anyone know why this isn't allowed?

Off-Topic / Did you have a good snow day?
« on: January 16, 2018, 06:25:37 pm »Message ID: 1192038
This was the best one yet! We had three inches of powdery snow. I swept all the snow off my neighbors' cars and took my cat out to play in it. I stared at it all day through the window. My only complaint was that I couldn't make a snowman, wrong type of snow.  :snowman:

Off-Topic / Comet TV?
« on: January 14, 2018, 05:07:25 pm »Message ID: 1191643
One of our tv's only has an antenna on it and I've stumbled across a wonderful channel that doesn't seem to be on my cable package. Comet TV, it's absolutely hilarious. It has some of the best terrible movies I've ever seen. (I love bad movies.) A lot of them are from the 60's - 80's and it's so much fun to see famous celebrities when they were nobodies. I highly suggest you check it out, some of the movies have become my favorite and some I can only sit and watch in horror and amusement at how truly terrible they are!

Off-Topic / favorite conspiracy theory?
« on: December 20, 2017, 08:06:20 pm »Message ID: 1186421
You don't have to believe it, you just have to have heard it. Mine is the 'fake moon landing.' I don't see how People in this day and age believe it, but they do. My neighbor still doesn't believe that Hitler is dead....

Off-Topic / Favorite bad movie and why?
« on: December 20, 2017, 07:50:00 pm »Message ID: 1186415
I mean really bad, like at least a C on IMDB. Mine is Gingersnaps. Absolutely love it!!! I can practically quote from it. I love that the misfits become the bad and good guys. Soooo awesome! And, of course, there are werewolves.

Off-Topic / Game of Thrones
« on: December 17, 2017, 12:05:16 am »Message ID: 1185700
Never really got into it. Because my whole family is now addicted I am giving it a second try. (It's something I should be in love with, I'm all about fantasy and scifi). Truthfully, it's a very off putting. Logically I know that all the bad things that happen in the show happened back in the day. But it curdles my stomach to see them killing their pets, selling out their friends, and other R-rated things that I've seen on here. Ugh. I would have been happier if they had kept it G rated. Or at least not cut off a horses head b/c some guy lost a joust.

Anybody addicted or hate it?

Off-Topic / Iphone update changed Siri
« on: December 14, 2017, 03:19:34 pm »Message ID: 1185339
Just did the latest Iphone update and now Siri's voice has changed. She sounds like a young teenage call center employee. I absolutely hate it. I rely heavily on Siri now, but the only reason I started using it was because of her snappy AI and I liked the tone of her voice. Wish they'd go back to the old one.  :bad:

Off-Topic / Most hated iconic show?
« on: December 09, 2017, 09:48:41 pm »Message ID: 1184573
I CANNOT stand 'mystery science theatre'. It bugs the ever lasting day lights out of me! Everyone else finds it hilarious though. I still remember the first time I saw it. I was a kid and it was some movie that I really, really wanted to see. I didn't understand why there were things talking during the movie. Seriously thought they would go away, but they never did! Ugh. Every one else finds them hilarious but I just want to throw those robots in a dumpster and slam the lid!  >:(

Off-Topic / favorite tv channel?
« on: December 09, 2017, 09:29:31 pm »Message ID: 1184570
We have cable in the main room, but in the bedroom we have an antenna. (We just don't watch it at all so I feel it's a waste to spend an extra 7$ a month for a digital box.) A while ago I came across a channel called 'Comet' on the antenna. It is absolutely hilarious!! It's mostly B horror/scifi movies from the 80's, but they always pick terrific ones. I can't stop laughing when I watch this channel. I'm currently watching 'Troll'. As someone who was born in the 80's but was too young to remember, this is a super treat. One of the best parts is seeing all these people who have great careers and are famous today, but were nobodies in the movies.  ;D

I've seen crappy vampire movies, the original godzilla movies, etc. They also have crappy scifi shows from the 90's. I've always been a fan of campy, crappy movies. This is my 'me time' channel.

What's ya'll favorite?

Offers / Do you bother at all?
« on: December 07, 2017, 05:02:10 pm »Message ID: 1184010
I feel like the surveys take twice as much time as they say they do. So I never do a survey that's below 1.00$. Do ya'll even bother to do the smaller surveys? I feel like it's too much time for too little money.

Off-Topic / Doomsday
« on: December 04, 2017, 07:56:15 pm »Message ID: 1183400
I finally watched 'Doomsday Preppers' last night. It got me thinking that if any type of attack happened, I am not going to be prepared. There really is no way for me to be prepared whatever happens. My home is too small to start hoarding food and supplies and I don't have the resources to buy things outside of my budget.  Does anyone prep for Doomsday? If you do, what do you do/what doomsday are you prepping for?

Off-Topic / Pressure Headaches
« on: December 04, 2017, 07:51:04 pm »Message ID: 1183398
A few years ago I started getting these really weird headaches. They'd start in my brow bone and go into my sinuses. Nothing would get rid of them. I tried all types of headache medicine and allergy meds. Happened in all seasons. Finally, I figured out it was happening when a storm front was coming in. From there, my dad realized I was reacting to the barometric pressure changes. To this day, I still get them and nothing helps. Spring and fall are the worst. Anybody else get these?

Suggestions / Don't see the point
« on: November 18, 2017, 08:42:57 pm »Message ID: 1180514
besides getting fifty cents for filling out the "survey profile" for the FC Surveys, I really don't see the point in why I was prompted to do it. I gave my basic info and they still link me with IT, plumber, spanish only surveys. So of course I instantly get disqualified, but only after I've wasted time on the initial survey process. Just because I'm half Cuban doesn't mean my mom raised us to speak Spanish. She wanted us to be American. Soooo frustrating. Why can't FC Surveys filter their surveys based on your profile survey???
