I think religious concepts were created to control people, but the concepts of spirituality (faith) came about as comfort and encouragement for people struggling with life.

I'm not a good liar. But I don't always tell the whole truth; not that I lie, I just don't tell it all. Maybe that's lying by omission, I don't know. I just do the best I can to be honest all the time.

A lot of people talk to themselves. I do, too, sometimes. It doesn't mean you're crazy; unless you're the only person you ever talk to, that is!

I've found it's better to think of loans to friends as gifts, instead of loans. That way, if they do pay it back (and many do), it's a pleasant surprise. And if they don't pay it back, then I'm not angry or resentful, because I didn't expect repayment in the first place. Friends and loans usually don't mix well, you either end up losing your friend or the money - or both.
