Debate & Discuss / Re: "Wellesley, Massachusetts Public School Students Learn to Pray to Allah"

Thanks to all who responded to my comment.  It is a shame that the liberal news media prefers to keep events like these under the radar.  Let us all pray that we, as a nation, will not allow these radical elements to take over the fabric of our lives and that we become watchmen, alert and ever-ready to defend our democracy.

Parents, teachers, fellow Americans, you HAVE TO OPEN YOUR EYES and realize that because of tolerance and political correctness, and the guise of cultural understanding, Islam is slowly but surely creeping into the public educational system.  Our children are being exposed to the very religion that trains their young to HATE rearing them under the umbrella of JIHAD with the ultimate goal of total submission and world domination.  When you brainwash your children to believe that America is made up of infidels and that Americans are no better than pigs, we have a problem here.  And when you put an AK47 in the hands of a 5-year old and tell him that it is his duty to kill and destroy anything (people, places) democratic, we have to end this underhanded, subliminal process of indoctrination.  We should not give in and end up like France, Spain and Britain where Islam is gaining a foothold and where Europe is now being called Eur-abia.  We are still the United States of America, and we will NOT be called the United States of Arabia.  Beware the enemy within.....be informed, go to this website www.actforamerica.com and find out for yourself the truth about Islam and what they are doing to undermine America and the rest of the world.

Off-Topic / Re: clean, clean, clean! (your favorite cleaning products)
« on: September 13, 2010, 10:18:44 am »Message ID: 236489
My favorite cleaning product is my Shark - and tap water.  I have tile floors in the living/dining/kitchen/Florida room and a cat: after I swipe that Shark machine over my floors, I know it is already sanitized without using any harsh chemicals.  You can wash the micro-fiber cloths in the washing machine and they are ready to go after they are hung dry.  Steam cleaning is the best and the healthiest because you are not breathing in any of those toxic fumes from all those cleaning products.  I don't use my Shark on my bamboo floors (w/c are in the bedrooms);  I use my vacuum and then a Swiffer dust cloth to pick up the cat hair and whatever the vacuum doesn't manage to pick up. Steam isn't good on hardwoods for some reason.  But on any kind of tile and other materials like slate, etc. it really does the job.  Makes for a less stressful cleaning day!  :D

This is one of my favorite TV shows!  Now that Lost is lost, I look forward to the new season when he and Cuddie.....well, you know what the story line is.  Hugh Laurie is a fine actor and the ensemble cast is just amazing.  Did you know that Cameron and Chase actually got together in real life?  Hated to see that marriage break up.  Can't wait to see what shenanigans he will get into this season.

Debate & Discuss / Re: The Bible as Truth?
« on: September 02, 2010, 09:40:33 am »Message ID: 231051
The Bible is God's word, it is HisStory (history) from Genesis to Revelation - and you can see where He is a faithful, covenant-keeping God who fulfills all His promises; fulfilling the one where His only Son, Yahshua, became the sacrificial Lamb, becoming flesh and dying on the cross that we could all be saved from sin by His grace.  He set apart His people and promised the land to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob; that land was NOT promised to Ishmael nor his descendants.  Therefore Israel belongs to the Jewish people and will remain God's chosen land, set apart for Him.  HisStory will come to a fitting climax when Yahshua returns as the Warrior King, and reclaim Jerusalem where both Jew and Gentile will become one.  And He is coming soon!

You're right Falconer2 - the possibility that aerosol cans would explode in mid-air due to the pressure inside the airplane was the MAIN reason for not allowing any liquids to be shipped via USPS air mail. The postal clerk gave that fatal plane crash in South Florida as an example.  If I recall, they had huge canisters in their cargo hold that were combustible, not 6 fluid ounce bottles of bottle spray.  What cracks me up is when I told the postal clerk that when you travel, the airlines allow you to pack liquids in your checked baggage and in your carry on as well, he was totally surprised!  So go figure, all that liquid sloshing inside lots of luggage located in a pressurized cargo hold does not an explosion make, UNLESS.....and this is where I end this discussion.

Love cats as well....mine came from a litter of 5 that hung outside my mother-in-law's carport and for protection from the neighborhood dogs at night would hide underneath her car's hood! She would find them all wrapped around each other sound asleep.  No wonder my 2-year old kitty LOVES to hang out in the garage, by my car.  Do they have memories of their childhood?

I just started myself and am very hopeful that I will get paid.  When you can get up in the morning and log on to your computer knowing that there are forums you can choose to join in and get paid for, that would be an incentive in itself.

Have a blessed day! :)

FusionCash / Re: I'm a newbie I need tips how to make quick money

I'm a Fusion Cash newbie as well and I realize that you can't make a lot of money doing surveys but you can plug in to lots of survey websites so you won't be stuck with just one income source.  I do have fun answering surveys but I am leery about those beta testers and those that tell you to send in money to get the secret to their success videos, etc.  With a little patience and lots of determination, on-line surveys are worth the time and effort.

By the way, is there anyone out there who has actually participated in those "test a laptop, keep it for free" surveys? Do they really work and is there a catch?

Debate & Discuss / Mailing regulations

I would like to hear what others have to say about the post office rules regarding the non-shipment of liquids to overseas places.  I was in the post office yesterday getting ready to mail a care package to my mother in the Philippines.  She is a fan of Bath and Body sprays, Cucumber Melon being her favorite, so I went and got her 3 bottles (you pay for 2 and get 1 free).  Being the honest citizen that I am  I listed the body sprays in my customs declaration form.  When I reached the counter the clerk told me I couldn't mail it because anything that is packaged in aerosol form, whether it be cologne or lotion, is taboo!  Ok, let's get real here.  Would I purposely ship an explosive devise to my own mother packed in a body spray bottle or Aveeno lotion in a pump dispenser?  I'm sure a lot of people have gotten away  with sending liquids overseas by fudging on their declaration forms.  And there are those who also use the post office to mail tons of liquids overseas.  They get away with it while I, a law-abiding, tax-paying citizen has to put up with ridiculous shipping requirements put in place because of some fanatics who tried everything in their power to destroy the United States of America, but have failed so far!

Thanks for letting me vent! I look forward to reading your comments.  Have a great day everyone! :D

Yes indeed, God has a sense of humor and if you are tuned in to Him, via your heart, you can see how He manages to make you laugh even during your deepest darkest moments.  I know that for a fact because He kept me going when I was ill with colon cancer and 5 years later He keeps me going via His sense of humor, through all the family issues I am going through right now.  He makes you smile through your tears.  How great and awesome is He!

Sounds fair to me and easy to do.  How hard can it be to treat each other with love and respect.
