Off-Topic / Re: if you could have one thing back in your life

It's unbelievable that I posted a response to this thread, and then a few days later I lose the most important thing I have ever had in my entire life. If I could have anything back in my life, it would be my mother. I am so lost without her. I would do whatever it took to get her back or die myself trying. She's been my everything even though I didn't always know it. I am completely devastated and so torn up inside and out. I have never felt so much emotion and pain and so jumbled up ever before.

I have never been to Florida. But it might be nice to visit for a little while. I am pretty sure I would not ever want to live there. I don't think I could handle hurricane season or any of the other craziness that goes along with living there (like extreme heat/humidity). Visit only thanks.

I have a very strong aversion to being photographed. I never look good in photos, and to be honest don't look good without the camera. I just look even worse on film. I like to take photos of things though. My place is behind the camera, taking the photo. Not as the subject or "extra."

I think it's likely to depend on a few things, but at the moment I can say I would probably choose pizza over chicken. But not if the pizza had gross toppings I couldn't eliminate.

I like a lot of candy bars. Mr. Goodbar, Zero, PayDay, Nutrageous, Reese's, mint Three Musketeers, plain milk chocolate, plain dark chocolate... So many to list.

Off-Topic / Just lost my mother
« on: May 25, 2015, 09:52:34 am »Message ID: 984713
I just lost my mother, the only parent I ever had and ever knew. I am beyond devastated. I can't think straight. I can't sleep. I can't eat. I'm trying so hard not to panic, to try to keep my anxiety and depression from taking over so intensely. I'm terrified of losing what little we have, including our home and her car, and I just don't know what to do or where to turn. If anyone knows of any non-profits or individuals/groups that might be able to help me and my siblings with legalities and finances, please let me know.

Yes, it still very much available. It's just not nearly as popular as it once was. I haven't made any in quite some time but recently was considering making some since I found a couple boxes of gelatin in my cupboard.

Off-Topic / Re: what is good for leg cramps
« on: May 20, 2015, 09:43:30 pm »Message ID: 983793
I have heard that potassium usually helps. When I was playing footy, I got really bad cramping in my legs after a particularly rough training and a coach of a different sport told me to use vitamin C. Cold water seems to help when soaking in it, lots of professional athletes do that after games and training to help with recovery. I'm not sure if this would help you or not, it may depend of what is actually causing the cramping.

My nephew. I miss him so much. It's been so long since I saw him last. I have missed so much of his life. And because of how young he was, and how I only got to see him less and less as he got older, I am almost certain he doesn't remember me. He just had another birthday too.  :(

I have those experiences quite often. It's usually a fun experience for me, unless the song or association is crummy. haha

I do believe that I prefer to have a physical book, but also find that it's nice to have e-books/e-readers too. E-books take up much less physical space and can at times be more convenient to read (especially if you're looking to keep it private so as not to draw attention to oneself). If I could, I would probably have a physical copy and e-book copy of every book I have or get, just in case.

Off-Topic / Re: The Hurricane walking cane
« on: May 20, 2015, 09:32:34 pm »Message ID: 983789
I've not purchased one, but I do have one. I can't remember where it came from or how I got it, but I have it. I have also had to use it about 6 months ago for 1-2 weeks because I hurt my back so much that I could hardly walk and needed support. It worked fine I guess, but I don't have much other cane-usage experience to compare it to. I think that I liked it a bit better than a regular cane though because it has a piece on the bottom that allows for the shaft of the cane to lean if you need it to while the foot/feet of the cane remain evenly on the floor and don't slip on surfaces like some canes do (even with rubber tips, because regular canes lose the sturdiness when leaned).

Off-Topic / Re: Do you like loud music?
« on: May 20, 2015, 09:28:20 pm »Message ID: 983788
Well, that would depend on three things: whether or not I'm in the mood for loud music, what type of music it is, and exactly how loud it is. At times I do like to turn my choice of tunes up a bit louder, but not always and typically not for extended amounts of time unless I'm doing some yard work or house work that takes a while.
