Off-Topic / Re: ITS FALL
« on: October 20, 2018, 03:34:18 pm »Message ID: 1243409
Fall and Spring are my 2 favorite times of the year.  Seems as I get older the extreme heat we have each summer is harder to deal with, as is the very cold of the winter.  It is easier to wear sweaters around the house in the winter than it is to stay cool in the summer.

I like several different cereals but guess my all-time favorite is Honey Bunches of Oats with Almonds.  For a change once in a while I'll buy honey nut cheerios, raisin bran or mini shredded wheat.  My husband never eats cereal and generally just eats a breakfast bar.  To each their own I guess.

My husband doesn't let the weather deter his grilling, thankfully.  As a matter of fact I'm giving him a very nice grill/griddle combo for Christmas this year to encourage him even more.  He'll be able to even cook things like chili, soups, or beans on a burner on this new grill.  Very versatile;  I'm excited for him to see it!

We always had GE appliances and were very satisfied with them.  When we moved a few years ago we got all new appliances as we left the others in our house our daughter was going to live in.  I had heard that LG were really good appliances and the salesman really talked them up.  Well, I really would not recommend them to anyone!  The microwave is the only thing I've been satisfied with and it doesn't have a timer on it like our old one did.  The stove isn't too bad but the dishwasher doesn't do a good job and the refrigerator has several issues.

Off-Topic / Re: Binge or Live Watch

We hardly ever watch anything besides Netflix since we only an antenna and not the best reception.  The one channel I would watch a lot doesn't even come in with the antenna.  We don't usually binge watch but occasionally while my husband is at work I will binge watch a show that he doesn't like.

I watch and listen to song videos of some of my favorite singers occasionally.  I sometimes research how to do stuff on YouTube videos;  you can find just about anything and everything on there.  I'm pretty impressed with them.

I'm not a big fan of documentaries but thanks for the information.  We may watch it one of these days.

Off-Topic / Re: What kind of toppings do you like on your pizza?

I like the works; minus jalepenos and anchovies!  I like jalepenos if they're not too hot but don't run the risk of not being able to eat them on a pizza.

Off-Topic / Re: Customer Service does it even exist any more?
« on: September 29, 2018, 11:32:47 am »Message ID: 1239985
Most of the time calling Customer Service is a joke but unfortunately its a necessity sometimes.  One thing that gets me mad is calling an American based company and getting someone who can barely speak English and their accent is so heavy I can't understand what they do say in English!

Off-Topic / Re: Do you like to dance?

I dance around by myself sometimes at home, or with my husband.  Used to dance in public but not too excited to do that anymore as I'm not very good.

I love Texas!  Not born here but have lived here for close to 50 years.  There are parts of Texas I would not want to live in though;  west Texas for one as the wind seems to always blow there and it's so dry.  We camp there sometimes but wouldn't want to live there.  Austin, DFW and some of the other larger cities are too liberal for my liking so wouldn't want to live near those either.  Where we live is a lot like my home state; minus the mountains.

Off-Topic / Re: Anyone else have to sleep with covers even if it's warm?
« on: September 28, 2018, 02:49:33 pm »Message ID: 1239850
I do, and it can't be a little thin sheet either; I have to have a sheet and a comforter.  I use a heavy comforter in the winter and a thin one in the summer.  My husband sleeps without any covers and I will never understand how he does that.

Off-Topic / Re: Do you like scented candles and air fresheners

I do like them but they don't like me.  If I'm around much smelly stuff I get a terrible headache, whether it smells good or bad.  Like this morning I sprayed bathroom cleaner in our shower  and have a headache ever since.  It's always been like that for me.
