I was intrigued by the headline for this post.
I am always excited when he is going to speak live. I watch like its a Nascar race. Waiting for some gore. He still has his head and all his arms and legs though.
Don't rely on emails to stay informed. The internet has plenty of unfiltered news sources. Always make sure to read both sides of the story. If you don't search, Conservative and liberal sites, your search engine(s) will start to filter your results and you will be trapped in a bubble...like your Facebook Newsfeed...stay off of there too.

Rosemary Roasted Pork
Fuji Apple Tart...with a fialed attempt at a special presentation.
Parker House Rolls....made incorrectly.
Canned Cranberry Sauce....hoping the kid would love...he didn't eat it.
Green Bean Casserole
Stuffing.

I was making dinner rolls.

The recipe called for 10 T of melted butter. blah bla blah.
I couldn't figure out why i had to keep adding so much flour to the mixer, just to get it to form into the propper dough consistency.

2T was supposed to be reserved to brush onto the rolls before they went into the oven.

They came out fine....still..Its a rookie error that is rather stupid.

My other issue was a dessert. I was supposed to have 8 Fuji apples. I only had 31/2. And no puff Pastry. Had to make pie crust and That is supposed to cool in the refridgerator for 1 hour. It only cooled for 55 minutes. Also the caramel that I made was for the recipe with 8 apples and I forgot to 1/2 the usage. The results were a little less than gourmet in appearance. The taste was extreme!

I intened to have my stuffing come out a s aloaf that was to be sliced. Some of it stuck. It was good tasting, but, the appearance was 3 out of 5.

I made Rosemary roasted pork loin. Had a few spears of rosemary left over....Decided to make a garnish where you take fresh mozzerellla and roma tomatoes and stack the slices and then spear them with the rosemary. I seasoned them all up and put them in the fridge. I made 1 for my wife and me. My 3 year old made a huge fit that he didn't get a tree. Luckily I still had some scraps left over and was able to fashion one, on the fly! He wasn't real interested in eating his.
Rosemary roasted prok pizza tonight I guess.

FusionCash / Re: How Much Do You Typically Make In A Month and How?

Old buddy is right about the referrals as actually generating capital.
I saw, in one of his posts, that he has over 800 referrals on FC and gets a very samll portion of them to cash out every month. He also stated that the money banner in the footer shows the referral $ as well as other earnings.

I have searched out Oldbuddy online. I actually am earning him $ every day. I figured, hell, the tutorial videos were helpful for me...I can help him out. I don't make many cents...but he deosn't either...but, I am just 1 guy.
His point is the long run.
Making the paid to click $0.15 each day adds up to $3.50 a month thats a bit more than $40 a year. Thats stupid nothing money...Orrr...Its enough to buy a few weeks of formula for your baby...or a small tank of gas.
The prblem is that you have to keep on doing it over and over and over again.
I am a stay at home dad with a 3.5 yr old and a 8 month old. I am on the computer filling out surveys, clicking paid emails (for oldbuddy), watching videos and trying to create a good environment for my kids something. I am on and off the computer from 7:30 am until 11pm and as early/late as 3am if the surveys are "clicking". I use 7 sites.
If everything goes well. I hope to make, in a month, as much as I used to (a little over a year ago) in 6 hours.
It wont be long and I wont have the time to spend online, then my "gravy train" will run dry.
Oldbuddy is one of the top performers. he has hundreds and hundreds (and probably more than 1500 referrals between his whole network). He has been doing this for years. He is only making a few hundred dollars a month. Less than a minimum wage job. BUT, he isn't going to work.

If you want to make money at this...real money....you wont. If you want to replace a bill with it ok. If you are going to depend on it to pay that bill....try to find something else. The effort to retrun is so minimal...Picking up 1 night of babysitting a month would put more time and money in your pockets (and that could develop into real $).

I am enjoying doing this. I am stuck at home as the wife goes to work 5 days a week(and makes less 16% less than last year) and goes to school 3-4 nights a week. In a few months, I am sure that my efforts will be spent elsehwhere...But, this is a nice group of people and I like doing the surveys (to my surprise!). I complete at least 2 a day here and at least 5 other places. Its rediculous really. But, I would be happy to find a quarter on the sidewalk. And I do bend over to pick up pennies.

I'm not even sure this is an answer to anything anymore. Hope your life keeps improving.

It works for me....worse than Adobe. At least they would give me 1 play. Norton doesn't even do that.
IE...toolbar...lowest security settings....clear cookies before a session.

I sent in a ticket on the 9th.

At the end of that weekend, was when the FC surveys started to display all sorts of errors...do a search, you will find some threads about it.

Just got some email the other day.

I posted them in another thread that is about the Soapbox problem
http://www.fusioncash.net/forum.php?topic=47545.msg645285#msg645285

I holpe that helps or inspires.

Thank you for reporting this error. We are investigating your credit. This ticket will be left open and we'll follow up when we have a resolution. Your continued patience is appreciated.

Dear Zachary,

We have responded to your support ticket entitled "FC SoapBox"

Here is what our support agent wrote:

--
After coordinating with the survey provider, we have determined that a number of completed sign-ups were not confirmed instantly as they should have been.

The good news is, you should get credited automatically once November surveys are reconciled. This typically happens between Dec 5th-15th. I'm sorry for the delay on this survey's credit but unfortunately the automatic crediting system was not functioning properly on SoapBox's side.

If you are not credited before December 20th, please open another support ticket and we will inquire further.

Thank you for your patience in this matter. If you have any further questions please let us know.

This is good news. I am glad that the gears are in movement.

I have had a lot of issues with surveys not creditting. This one, in particular was quite upsetting.
After having a total of 10 not credit out of about 30 completed surveys...I was ready to give up. Then I got an email for an FC survey that paid $2.90....Nailed it and credited within minutes (had to watch a potential new TV show, about 70 minutes total time)

I cashed out my total. Sent in my forum request and then sat back.
It was stupid not to do the paid to click and emails though. So I lowered my security on IE to the lowest settings, allow just about every kind of spam and delete my cookies frequently.
Immediately, I started lining up credits within minutes (instead of hours, if at all).
I cleared all the daily surveys 2 days in a row. (excepting FC surveys which i didn't have any of on the 1st day).
Today is pretty light so far. I will try again this afternoon. But, $7.99 on surveys in 2 days aint bad.
I am glad that it seems they are workoing this out.

I credit on about 75% of my surveys. 25% failure rate is dismal.
I can't understand why this seems to be acceptable with so many people and the website.

...and yes, i have jumped through all the "hoops". Tried 3 different browsers, toolbars, delete cookies, leave tabs open....all bs that shouldn't have anything to do with anything. Other survey sites don't have this dilemma.
I hear; "if you don't get paid, then FC doesn't get paid!" that does not make it ok. That should be making it worse!
In fact, I am beginning to doubt that statement ("if you don't get paid, then FC doesn't get paid!"). If it were true we would see more concern on the part of the FC to rectify the problems that represent a a frequent portion of the posts.

Now, I gotta go, I have poop to change, ABCs to teach, toys to pick up and dishes to wash. Throughout the day I will try to complete my Dailys and see how the stats hold. Maybe I will even get a reply to the support ticket that was opened on the 9th.
ona a scale of 1-7 with 1 being most likely and 7 being least likely to respond to comments about this post....I pick "may or may not reply to comments"

Baby needs cheerios....
Have a good day

I started FC using Firefox browser with the toolbar.
I was having some problems with surveys crediting.
I switched over to Internet Explorer with the toolbar and have had better results (only been testing for 2 days now).
I still prefer using Firefox when i choose to watch videos.
It is hard for me to keep tabs open after a survey...muscle reflex has me closing them promptly.

When I started a few weeks ago, I almost never qualified for surveys.
The trick is to answer the questions honestly. BUT, don't read into them to much. Read them as they are and answer them as they are.
It is typical for a survey to ask the same question a few different times, in a different way. If you answered, yes I hava asmartphone at the beginning of a survey (but its broken, you know this in your head) you may get bumped out of the survety later when the topic comes up again and you answer differently when they ask what company do you use to get service on your smart phone.

Surveys are about products and consumer behavior and how to best market new products. Keep that in mind.
Be consistent in your answers from start to finish.
If they ask you to input how much you drink of something or watch tv or whatnot, write your answer down on paper. If you say that you watch 30hours of TV a week and then fill out a form that asks you how much you watch each show, you are going to need to come up with 30 hours. Sometimes there will be a few pages of programs to fill out. Don't lie.

Its ok to remember other info as the survey goes on. If you miss 1/2 at the beginning, you will probably get bumped for inconsistancy. As you take more surveys you will get better at knowing your habits.
If they ask you what surveys you have done in the past...only mark the ones you completed.

if you are self employed, part time and the survey only has part time, that is what you put.
fill out all your profile data. Keep it up to date.

If you keep getting the same kind of survey and keep getting rejected, do the research that you didn't know. If they ask if you were at a certain kind of website or some kind of activity. look at them and do some of the stuff. Then you can answer those questions.

Surveys are about learning how consumers learn and react to advertising. Being a good researcher is part of that.
That is all for now.

I was a little surprised to see that Admin reversed their FC policy regard "reporting" one's own posts for review however, I found one of mine posted in reply to the 'wrong forum' and tested the revised function by reporting my own post.  I then chastised myself without mercy and extracted an oath from me to endeavor never to do that again, (else I'd consider banning myself).
 :o

That made me laugh. I wonder how close the voice that you sound like, in my head, is to the one in yours.

I haven't had much time to spend on the internet the last few days.

I was a little nervous about what i was going to find here.

I am glad that Falcon was able to give me an answer to my question and very pleased that the admin was able to make an adjustment that will benefit all of us.

My first post: http://www.fusioncash.net/forum.php?topic=46809.0 should have been in the off topic sub. But, I put it in the Fusion cash board.
I tried to delete it right away (after posting) and it wouldn't let me...I was at a quandry of what to do. (I would imagine that it wouldn't delete because the forum automatically replies with the adbot. It is typical that you can not delete a post if there is a reply (unless you have administrator or top level mod privelidges).

Other items of interest started popping up on the boards recently. Stuff that I thought a few stickies would be appropraite for and this and that and blah blah blah.

I am glad that something good came out of this thread.

Thanks again.

Thank you for the reply.

I am sorry that it has taken me so long to acknowledge it.

The forums are monitored by paid FC staff, and we also rely on members' use of the "Flag for review" function to point out rule violations.

If I were to, accidentally, post something in the wrong forum, then the proper practice would be to flag my own post. (hoping that there would be a place to describe what the infraction is)

I don't think it's fair to expect FC forums to operate like a typical forum.  For one, it's a business and we actively advertise and recruit members.  For two, we pay you to participate.  Most forums are ad-supported and are built around a common interest (e.g. stock cars), they don't pay you to participate, and they rely on word of mouth to get new members.

One of the coolest features about Fusion Cash is the forum. I have signed up with a number of sites and cancelled most of the accounts. Since I started to use the forum, here, I have made that a standard by which to measure other sites.
Every forum should have its own style with its own expectations and develop its own personality. This is what attracts and maintains members.

I am glad to have the opportunity to collect $ from you for posting. Its not the only reason to post or to read posts. And should not be for others.

Quote
Sticky posts get ignored just like any other link on the site.  Having more stickies will not help because generally speaking the members posting easily-answered questions are not going to bother reading them, they just want a spoon-fed answer.

This is true in many regards. But, it is also nice to be able to shut down a redundant question by pointing them to the sticky.
I thought that it would be a nice way to handle situations where 3 or 4 threads pop up about the same topic. Make one a sticky and funnel the traffic back. If a person truly needs to get a post in, just to qualify for the bonus, this would help to create more useful content, instead of having topics in triplicate.
I have spent time looking for them on certain topics and questions that I had.

Quote
It makes little sense to then operate a free-for-all advertising platform on top of that.  Plus, as demonstrated by the recent abrupt closure of one of our competitors, any site linked to may suddenly disappear or start ripping people off, and we don't want to help recruit FC members to such programs.

I know very little about this other site closure. I saw a few comments about something...don't know.
I wasn't expecting a free for all advertising platform for links (that is where mods and the flagging come in though). Just a sig file link or two. Probably with a threshold where the option becomes active. I would guess that most people on this forum don't have sites and that most people who try to spam wouldn't take the time to qualify to activate the option.
I hope to generate some good referral numbers. As I attempt this I would like to share my success and see other peoples as well (besides oldbuddy). If someone has a question about something that might be complicated, it would be nice to be able to send them to a post. They already made their post. So what if they leave the website for a bit, they'll be back (you are paying us).
Your point is quite clear about it, so I wont try to further explain mine.

Thank you for taking the time to answer the question.

I hope that some other people might leave their opinions too.

Falcon9...agreed...
Rereading my post, i guess i wasn't clear that i didn't get my credit while working through Firefox, with the toolbar installed.

I have a 9 post limit on my newbie account. I am going to have to refrain from further postings on this thread until a later date. I have another thread, that I actually opened, and am sure I will need to address comments there.

I hope that this situation gets resolved for all of us.

Additionally, my original reply to this post mentioned that I was happy that other people found problems with the crediting issue. That was a figurative statement. Like when a Tsunami hits. Its nice to know that you aren't the only person that is going through the problems...But, it sucks that everyone, who is, is.

I will update when I get a response on my support ticket.
