I am a true believer in a force/forces that are clearly greater than all of us. I choose not to subscribe to a particular religious doctrine because I believe that God/Goddess is more powerful than man's finite comprehension of the universe and the true machinations of celestial bodies and the universe. I do not disagree with religion as a whole because usually at the core I personally find that there are fundamental differences but they all pretty much say the same thing. You have to honor God and be good to one another. I get it. I don't knock anyone;s belief system, but at the same time I hate to get brow-beaten into submission by an overbearing zealot who has no room for compromise or any respect for what I may believe. I simply refuse to believe that man has the answer. We'll all find out when we die though.
Your statements are quite cogent and well thought out. I would speculate that these are pretty much the views of most humans, regardless of what religion they may ascribe to.
To the specifics; Yes there is/are forces far beyond the comprehension mankind is capable of. This is clearly stated in the Bible in several places and in several ways. So that is one point that one of your beliefs could accept without much difficulty, semantics would probably be the only 'issue'. Next the matter of 'religion'. This is a critical point that is almost always ignored... that is that RELIGIONS, each and every one of them are indeed creations of MAN as a means or pathway to gain God's acceptance. True they are all pretty similar as they all have the same base as their founding (long discussion so I will not go into that). Here is the BIGGIE, as you state, believing in a man-created system (religion) indeed is foolishness. Christianity on the other hand is NOT a religion of any sort but God's (the supreme power, if you will) designed plan for MAN to come into HIS presence. There is no cost for one to accept this gift of God. The cost was paid by Jesus who died in your place.
That is just how simple it is. Don't judge God and his divine plan by humans and their behaviors in His name. We are all flawed, and we are all sinners. The difference is that some of us sinners are forgive by His grace.
