Definitely charcoal.  I guess I'm old-fashioned but I love the smell of it!!!  It screams summertime to me and brings back such great memories...

Horror movies used to be my favorite kind.  I swear that I have watched all of them, especially the 80's horror movies when they began some innovative special effects!!!!  Nowadays, all I watch are children's movies because my son is only 4!!!!

I really don't like experimenting with food...I think the weirdest think that I ever ate had to be chicken livers (i know, not weird at ll probably).  But I didn't choose to, I was lied to.....

Off-Topic / What's your favorite type of weather???
« on: April 29, 2013, 07:36:52 am »Message ID: 728001
My favorite weather is those nice sunny Spring days that we barely get....the ones where a jacket is an option, not a necessity...::sigh::

Unfortunately, right now, it's raining in NY...not even raining, more like a fine mist!!!

So what's everyone's favorite weather??

Off-Topic / Just some thoughts...

So I just got a permission slip from my son's school for his first field trip.  He is in Pre-K and the trip is to attend a "Food Play" at a nearby college.  I know for sure that I will not be sending him on this trip as he does not really sit still for very long.  He also got a notice for three other school trips in the following three weeks - a farm, a pizzeria and a theatre in the park.  I am not sure if I am being overprotective or if it's the voices of my family members telling me he is too young but I am beginning to question whether I should let him go to any of the trips.  On one hand, I want him to socialize and have fun with his friends and on the other hand, there has been so many things happening in the news lately that it is making me wonder whether it is safe or not to let him go.  I guess my question is for everyone's general opinion on the subject so that I can come to a conclusion.....

I love summer...I love long sunny days and all the opportunities to go different places.  Who really wants to go anywhere when it's super cold out???  :-

I would say that I would take away the violence but that seems like such an impossible thing.  I would take away the anger that causes the violence in the first place....make a world of smiles and happiness...

I would buy myself a nice house and I would decorate it how I always wanted to.  I would buy my son a playground for the backyard with a fort!  I would send him to a private school.  And I would give some to my close family and charity.  The rest I would split - half in a bank account for him and half in the bank for a rainy day.  I know it doesn't sound like the most exciting thing in the world but I live simply!

Off-Topic / I Have A Question About Online Jobs
« on: April 06, 2013, 09:55:53 am »Message ID: 717022
I am a mother of a 4 year old and he is currently in school.  Unfortunately, in my situation, I have no one who is able to bring him or pick him up from school.  I don't have any kind of money for a baby-sitter and I would prefer to take care of my own child anyway.  So I am looking for a legitimate online job that will pay me enough to take care of him and possibly save some extra money towards buying a house.  Is there anyone who know about legitimate jobs online???????????????????????  I feel like I've looked everywhere and have found nothing but scams.... :

Geez, if I were to win the PowerBall, it would help a lot.  At the moment, I still live at home. So the first thing I would do is buy my own home and furnish it.  I would also buy a car so it would be easier for me and him to get around.  The rest would be put for my son's education.  I know it doesn't sound too exciting but I never really needed much to be happy!!!
