Off-Topic / Invalid Offer

Every time I try to do a Tap Research survey, I get a notice that says "Invalid Offer". Is this happening to anyone else too?

Switchmail.com sounds like a great idea until you think about it a minute. If you can just go to the site, upload and document, pay the postage and voila - it gets sent - why don't you just attach the document to an email and send it over the internet without paying the postage? It isn't likely to be used too often, I would think.

I haven't started yet and probably won't do any shopping until after Thanksgiving. I used to really be into buying Christmas presents for all my nieces and nephews and grandchildren but I just don't have the Christmas spirit this year because of COVID. I have lost touch with most of the family that isn't close by.

I can't wait to see the Saturday Night Live skit about the fly on Pence's head during the debate. At least you could hear what both candidates were saying in the VP debate. I couldn't understand anything Trump and Biden were saying in the first debate because they were both yelling at the same time. I just turned the TV off altogether.

I always liked Monster Mash. That's the one with Vincent Price in it, isn't it? I also like the theme song to the Addams Family.

The last time I got Paid to Post was in February! I also have 0 days posted for all months since then, but no payments. I have contacted Support 3 times about it, but get no reply whatsoever. I think whoever takes care of Support is just letting the whole site run on Autopilot.

I think you should leave your mask on when you have to sneeze in public AND sneeze into your arm. You can always wash the mask or get yourself a new paper one and you might as well be doubly safe.

I am glad to see companies and football teams changing their names from ones that denigrate people of color to names that are more race-neutral. The former names are just one little thing of many in our lives that make people of color feel discriminated against.

I would tell myself that 1) if I was going to go to graduate school, do it in a subject that offers employment security for the rest of my life 2) invest as much money as possible in Apple stock, 3) think twice before having children.

Eddie Van Halen was a master guitarist and I loved several of his songs, including JUMP. I am very sorry to hear he passed at the young age of 65 from throat cancer.

Do you mean you have to give your cat insulin shots? How are you going to get the cat to sit still enough for you to do that? Did the vet teach you how to do that?

I sure do love my one big cup of coffee every morning at breakfastime. It really wakes me up and gets me started on the day.

The most beautiful place I have ever been to is the Grand Canyon. I still remember the shock and awe feeling I got when I saw it for the first time as the sun was setting. Gorgeous!

Off-Topic / Re: What will you do on halloween
« on: October 04, 2020, 05:06:32 am »Message ID: 1341200
This Halloween I plan to shut off the outer lights on my house, lock the gate to my property, and stay inside where it's warm and watch TV. We live on a dead end street that the children don't come down anyhow and they never stop at our house anyways, because you have to enter a gate to get to it and the kids are afraid a dog is behind the gate, which there isn't.

I wish I could draw or paint things. I think it would be so relaxing to have a hobby like that where I could draw anything I can see or paint things. I don't have the eye for it, though, unfortunately.
