Hey dummamarg why don't you do what Archie Bunker once said to somebody and go back to sleep and dream about the tragedy which is your life :highfive: and FYI so many dumbocrats have incited way more violence then you are obviously aware of or will admit duh ::) Another little  fact for you that no rioters shot any weapons and the one that was shot was by an unknown policeman so don't act like you care about dead people because you DON'T care about anyone but yourself loser! 8)

Off-Topic / Cancel Culture hits the Scrabble Boards

As I had mentioned in a reply to another poster, I am a professional Scrabble player who plays for money in NASPA tournaments.  Unfortunately due to Covid we have not been able to get together and have any tourneys for a long time, hopefully this summer, so a poor alternative is to play online.  I was playing one of my friends online the other day and he told me that a lot of words are being canceled >:( I haven't seen the list yet but in Adult Tournament Scrabble curse words, slang, and slurs have always been allowed because they are just words to make points we don't usually think or worry about the meaning of them, as a matter of fact it is not necessary to know the meanings but it can help.  It is hard enough to learn the thousands of words you need to know to help you be a better player now we have to unlearn words, what a joke :bad: :bad: :bad: If you don't unlearn these words and use them you can be challenged off and it could cost you a game.  Right now we can still use them online on the site I play on but who knows for how long? Maybe they will reconsider when we start playing live again and people start complaining  8)

Yes, especially Scrabble, I am a professional Scrabble player who actually plays in NASPA tournaments for $$$ Unfortunately there haven't been any tourneys to go to for a long time because of Covid but maybe this summer we can get together again and have fun competing  :) 8)   FYI for those who didn't know there are actual tournaments for Scrabble where you play opponents face to face, live in person which is the best. Online Scrabble is good for learning but not much fun.

The winter doesn't seem to fly by to me, we still have almost a month of winter left and that could bring snow still for many people :bad: Hopefully not it does seem to be warming up a bit at a time and the time change will be a welcomed thing  8)

Off-Topic / Forums

This is for those who post on here that don't know the difference between a Forum and a Questionnaire:

The definition of a forum is a place or a method for discussion. An example of a forum is an online message board. A law court; tribunal. ... (Internet) An Internet message board where users can post messages regarding one or more topics of discussion.

No where does it indicate asking frivolous binary questions nor is the word question even in the definition.

This is just an FYI, but it would be nice if we can have more topics or subjects for discussion.  :highfive: 8)
