Off-Topic / Re: Need help from Computer Gurus

Thanks, oldbuddy. Pinging google was one of the things that my ISP had me try -- and the google site did ping back, but when I entered Google into the address bar, I didn't get a connection.

I usually use CCleaner to clear my cache/temps.  Did that; no change.  Tried to flush my DNS via the google address you gave me, but also no success.  Since it was a web address, it just never got through.

Looks like I'm in big trouble accessing the web on that computer and have resigned myself to using it for non-internet activities.

Thanks. also, southern horizons.  I do have another (newer) laptop that works fine with my ISP connection.  I had hoped the problem was with the wifi adapter, but when I couldn't get access with a new wifi adapter or the ethernet cable, I concluded the  problem is within my desk top.

Lol, countrygirl,  but we all know that we get credit for each post made -- whether it addresses the issue at hand or not.

Off-Topic / Need help from Computer Gurus

i have a Dell XP computer (2002 or so) that I use to connect to the internet and access PTC sites.  I have used Wireless Adapters (Cisco AE 2500) in the past to make the connection, but while that worked last year, it no longer works today.  My computer recognizes that I have a wireless adapter and says I am connected -- but when I try to access the internet, the computer can not connect (I have a  continuous circling (the drain) waiting for my sites to load.

Bought a new wireless adapter (Netgear) with the same result - the connection was recognized, but without the ability to access any sites on the internet.

Bought an ethernet cable and  plugged that in -- the local Area connection is recognized -- but I  still can not access any sites on the Internet.

Spent an hour talking to tech support at my ISP trying different things with no luck -  ran out of ideas.   We're both stumped.

So I'm appealing to the computer gurus here for help.   Any thoughts on why this is happening and what I can do to resolve it?

Support / Re: Question about cashouts
« on: May 23, 2016, 08:04:23 pm »Message ID: 1068340
There is one cashout payment available for each month.  If you put in a cashout request on the 22nd of this month, it will be paid on or about the 20th of the following month.

If you actually had enough to cash out again in the same month, the procedure is to cancel the first request and resubmit for the new (combined, larger) amount.

If you have enough to cash out early in the next month (ie the 2nd,) it would be paid on/about the 20th of the following month.  You would be better off to just wait until towards the end of that month to build up the amount of the cashout -- which is always paid on/about the 20th of the month following the month of your request.

Offers / Re: I completed all 50x of the 2 cent content carousel

I tried the Content Carousel; completed the 99 second display of sight (most of which did not load in the time provided), but in the end after I closed the page, I got the "I'm not a robot" capsha, but could not get it to GO after I clicked the box saying "I'm not a robot".  Maybe I missed something but this offer did not credit/work for me.

When I went back to try again, all I got was a white screen.  (Do I have to wait 30 minutes?)

Glad it worked for some.  Better luck for others who give it a try.

I was only to only find on Hypermax video today -- strange -- usually are a continuing stream available.  All the other videos (60 version) said there were no videos available.  Not sure if that was due to my connection or really nothing on the part of the advertisers.

I looked at RL again  -- and could not see a channel changer link anywhere on the FusionCash site.  But I did find it on another GTC site so I know it is still available in some sites format.  Unfortunately not on FC.  Will pursue with Support directly.

There use to be a link that allowed me to select several different stations.  Haven't seen it for some time -- and haven't use Radio Loyalty since the link was dropped.  Is there another way to get something other than Electric FM?

Thanks for the reminder.  I used the link to locate the instruction page, selected  the cash out I wanted to submit the POP for and then found the photo of the screenshot that I made using my PRINT software.

If you use PRINT (or any other process) to create the picture of your screenshot, do not forget to remove your email address and any other information you don't want the world to see.  I use the erasure in PRINT to do that.  And then use CROP to select the portion of the screenshot that I want to save to in picture form:  I use the jpeg extension.

For the last several days, I've been getting messages-- on the Radio Loyalty window -- saying that a script has stopped working.  If I clicked on the link to halt the script, the page refreshed and I lost the time with that run of RL.  If I just closed the box with the script error message, sometimes the captcha would (ultimately) appear;  sometimes the entire browser would lock up.

I still listen to RL; like the music.  But when  it locks up, I just close it all down and try again later.  Clearly not getting the 3c/half hour of listening that's promised.
