Off-Topic / Re: Layered cakes or bunt cakes?
« on: July 12, 2011, 04:24:43 pm »Message ID: 384157
layer cakes by far, I actually like both but I love frosting and more of it, lol, so that is why my vote would always go for layer cakes.  By the way, this subject has now made me crave chocolate frosting on ANY kind of cake.

Off-Topic / Re: Hair ... have you ever colored it???

Used to color my hair which is very long but then it got impossible to keep up with, so I just let it go and now I am delighted with my new "natural" color and the freedom from the chore of coloring it.  Now I would say were I not blessed with a color that I couldn't stand, it might be different.

Off-Topic / Re: Growing Older
« on: July 12, 2011, 04:18:55 pm »Message ID: 384154
Well, I am 57 and next month will be 58.  I am for the most part just thankful for each day God allows me live and be with my family.  My mother just passed away about a month ago and I always thought she would live to be much older.  The experience has reminded me to try and be thankful for each day because I do believe each day to be a gift from God.  I don't like some of the appearances of aging lol or the health issues that sometimes come but none-the-less I am happy to be blessed to be 57!

Off-Topic / Re: Store Bought Cakes Vs Walmart Vs. Publix
« on: July 12, 2011, 04:14:45 pm »Message ID: 384144
I have had cakes from Wal-Mart and I have had cakes from Publix and I have to say that Publix for my family wins out.  The cakes from Wal-Mart aren't AWFUL but they just aren't quite as good as Publix. I like the butter cream icing better and I think the texture of the cake itself is better.

Suggestions / Re: Text Message Promos

ditto, I think the text msg promos would be awesome.  I 2 have unlimited text msging and so it would be a great addition to earning potential.  The only problem I can see is that when I tried to verify my phone # with a text msg, it wouldn't work despite numerous tries but I am sure it would be a glitch the site could correct for that cell phone provider.

:sad1:I Keep my eye out for when a supermarket in our area offers a ten$ coupon off a $50 gas card which they do every so often, when they do that then I try to stretch any money I have to buy as many cards as I can.  (For anyone who has a Publix Supermarket in their area keep your eye out for this).  I usually can eek out at least 2 which is $20 worth of free gas
