Off-Topic / Re: What are some things you spend money on?
« on: April 21, 2013, 06:58:05 pm »Message ID: 724354
mostly clothes, including shoes and accessories.
and then home decor items, including furniture, candles,
pillows, etc.

sometimes i spend money on organization for all of the above.
and sometimes craft items, but i really have more than i'll
ever need, probably.

i was pretty addicted until they switched the look.
i'm a little less enthused with it. it used to be one of the
first things i did when i got online, but it's starting to be
one of the last.

like everything, i feel like the pinterest fad will fade eventually.
and as it fades, they'll start changing it even more...which
ISN'T the solution.

just leave it be! i guess those marketing degrees have to be
put to use somehow though, right?

Off-Topic / Re: Do you like ranch ?
« on: April 21, 2013, 06:52:26 pm »Message ID: 724352
that's a big Y E S.

i like to make my own ranch with the powder packets.
i feel like it's healthier and i can just mix up a little or
a lot depending on what i need it for. if i buy ranch,
i've gotta get the "marzetti" brand. tastes like
restaurant quality!

Off-Topic / Re: Do you Know any Introvert People?
« on: April 21, 2013, 06:47:18 pm »Message ID: 724349
Me! lol
But as Ive matured and had experience in retail, ive learned to be more friendly. Ive also realized that being very introverted can make me seem stuck up or unfriendly.. Now I am better at being out of myself and more giving in building friendships and also with customers of course. (:
I am still naturally introvert but I am less selfish

you sound like me! i'm still an introvert at heart (i'd much rather work
by myself than in a group, for example - but we're not going to put
that on our resumes, right? LOL)... but yes, my experience in retail
and just generally maturing outside of my family/home environment
has opened me up a lot.

i've learned that you become accepted by a group of people much
quicker when you're friendly and confident. "less selfish" - i like that
you mentioned that! i think of myself as less selfish now, too.

i would go to switzerland.
i went to europe in highschool and visited france,
germany, switzerland, and spain. it was so amazing that it was
surreal. i had to pinch myself a few times.

but just about anything goes in switzerland! it seems very
free-spirited and peaceful. great country!  :peace:
of course, i loved france too... okay, i loved it all.

Off-Topic / Re: Do you hang out with your co workers outside work?
« on: April 21, 2013, 06:37:18 pm »Message ID: 724338
i have a co-worker who i started taking zumba classes with,
and she was the first person i hung out with from work.
we're the only two who are right around the same age,
so we have a lot in common. we've went out to eat and
shopping since then, which was nice.

there's one other co-worker who is older with kids
and we've met at the bar a few times to get all of our
work-related issues off our back. she's the only one that
i truly trust! the rest of my co-workers know little about me.

yes, a bit spoiled, but my mama loved spoiling me.
like i wasn't gonna let her  :P  i really love to do laundry
now. it's probably one of my favorite chores!

absolutely! i'm asked ALL the time, "where did you get that?"
whether it be clothes, home goods, etc. nobody believes me
most of the time, when i say salvation army or goodwill.

i must be a dirty, poor, bag lady... but you're digging my style!
what does that say? haha.

don't worry, we are the smart ones

burlington coat factory, marshalls, and gabriel brothers
are my top stores. i can find everything i want/need for half
the price, just because it's "out of season" or whatever.
$10 yankee candles? yes, please.

i also love target, but it's dangerous. i have to be careful.

between the two, pizza hut for sure. i don't like pj's crust or cheese...

Off-Topic / Tanning beds & lotions
« on: April 07, 2013, 02:42:58 pm »Message ID: 717648
pale, freckled redheads have a hard time getting a nice color.
i'm becoming more active with exercise and i plan to be outside
more often this summer than i ever have before, but i'd like to
build a base tan so i won't have to worry about burning so easily...

i've started laying about 4 - 5 minutes at a salon (low level bed).
i'm wondering about good lotions that DO NOT have bronzers??
i plan to buy them on ebay or amazon since they are WAY cheaper
than at the salon.

Off-Topic / Re: Ready Or Fixer Upper

i'd prefer move-in ready, but i don't really like newer
house designs. most lack character and give off a "factory"
assembly line vibe. i'd want a movie-in ready, older home.
gotta have those great hardwood floors...

i've seen the trailer for the new one, and the original.
my fiance wants to see the new one, so that means i'll
be watching it. the old one was okay... for an intentionally
funny movie.

i like honey... but i don't like to substitute it for sugar when
it comes to recipes. i'll add honey to tea or something like that,
instead of sugar, though.
