Cleveland management is a pure joke lol(Example: Cavs Owner Guaranteeing CLE would win one before LBJ does)... they didn't surround LBJ with the right players... Antawn Jamison is a highly overrated player, Shaq slowed them down dramatically, they were better the previous year before Shaq..he demanded the ball to much. LBJ did the best he could, he just never had any real players.

Off-Topic / Re: Is Rock music satanic? mwahaha

A person is what they "eat".  Feast on rock music with satanic lyrics, references to satan...etc. and one will find themselves having those lyrics "embedded in their brain".   Those lyrics will affect one's moods, one's decisions and then consequences always result from the decisions one has made.  Those consequences will "make or break one's life".   I've noticed those that listen to rock music for any length of time often take on a "sickly appearance"...I'm not saying that listening to rock music directly caused this, I am saying that the rock music lyrics greatly influenced the choices those had made in life and it's made them "unhealthy".   Don't think so?  The rock musicians definitely have their lyrics embedded in their brain......and many of them die a premature death due to life choices they made.  There aren't very many of them that actually look healthy if at all--- for very long.  There have been experiments that say plants will wither and die if exposed to rock music.  I wouldn't tell anyone what they should or shouldn't listen to...I would though encourage everyone to do some studying and know exactly what you are exposing your mind/brain to.

Ive seen tons of people listen to Tool and heavy metal as they workout, and they are in great shape. Rock music has no bearing on your health, lyrics are not always embedded in the brain. Most everyone in society now days dies a premature death due to choices they make 99% of those choices involve diet. Even if this were all true, do you really think removing rock music would help? Rock music didnt invent people, people invented Rock music! They are not a product of the music, the music is a product of the people... Should you also get rid of all horror movies? all bad words? Books with negative information? Dark clothes? where do you draw the limit here if you feel these things are so influential on your life?

Off-Topic / Stoned Drivers vs. Drunk Drivers
« on: August 30, 2010, 06:18:51 am »Message ID: 228938
A few weeks ago, I noted that the Obama administration, reputedly more enlightened than its predecessor on matters of drug policy, is encouraging states to enact gratuitously punitive laws that treat drivers with marijuana metabolites in their urine as if they were drunk. Since traces of marijuana can be detected in urine long after the drug's effects have worn off, this policy is just an excuse for sending pot smokers to jail. I suggested that tests of THC in blood would be a more accurate measure of impairment, comparable to the standard for alcohol. But as at least one commenter noted, there is an argument for treating drivers under the influence of marijuana less severely than drivers under the influence of alcohol: They are less of a threat to public safety. Experiments repeatedly have found that marijuana has a less dramatic impact on driving ability than alcohol does, with the added advantage that pot smokers seem to be more aware of their impairment and therefore tend to compensate for it by slowing down (whereas drinkers tend to speed up). In the latest study, reported recently in the Journal of Psychoactive Drugs, subjects who smoked a joint containing marijuana with about 3 percent THC "decreased their speed [more than the sober control subjects did] and failed to show expected practice effects during a distracted drive," but "no differences were found during the baseline driving segment or collision avoidance scenarios."

In their book Marijuana Is Safer, which I reviewed in the April issue of Reason, Steve Fox, Mason Tvert, and Paul Armentano cite marijuana's relatively minor impact on driving ability as a public safety advantage. To the extent that legalizing pot encourages people to shift from alcohol to marijuana, it could actually produce a net decrease in traffic deaths, contrary to the nightmare scenarios painted by prohibitionists.
