I sat with two retired teachers this morning.
We started talking about learning cursive writing in third grade.
There is a fancy way to write the capital Q.
I don't know of very many people who write it that way.
Nowadays, it depends on the "font" used.

with the email addresses you send.....

Off-Topic / confusion
« on: January 25, 2018, 10:43:37 am »Message ID: 1193304
I was reading a letter that was a long one.
The letter explained something.
As I started to read, things were clear.
The further I read, the more confusing it sounded.
By the time I finished, I was confused again.
my neighbor just skimmed the letter and came to the wrong conclusion.

I saw a video of a pizza making contest.
Two or three chefs competed.
the success of the winner depends on the people judging its taste to their own preferences.
all pizza can be equally as good.

taking a train in a big city to and from work is different than taking a train from one city to another.
you do always meet interesting people.

red used o be popular.
a number of years ago, yellow was the color.
white seems to be it for a while now.

Off-Topic / bugs and their bites
« on: January 16, 2018, 06:29:24 am »Message ID: 1191924
I was reading a post here talking about winter weather being too cold for bugs.
reference was made that bugs in the south are more dangerous.
I can attest to that. Last March, I got bit by "something" [I didn't see what bit me]
I went through burning skin, red rash and swelling. It took me two months to get over that one.
I bought a compression sock sleeve AND bug spray after that experience.
I will be moving north to TN. to be near my sisters and their families. :rose: :rainbow:

Off-Topic / shopping
« on: January 14, 2018, 07:01:00 am »Message ID: 1191526
I was buying clothes items from a certain store online for a few years.
 I was a repeat customer.....until last year.
when an item was on back order, I got an email from customer service asking me if I wanted to wait.  I should have responded to the email.
I called in and was pressured to buy a  $100 visa gift card and just pay $4 postage.
He didn't sound like the regular employee and he wouldn't leave me alone. I just hung up. I found all the items that were on their website somewhere else.

Off-Topic / freezing
« on: January 13, 2018, 07:56:59 am »Message ID: 1191374
I just talked to someone in Tennessee.
It is freezing there.
The customer care rep said he was the only one who came into work.
the others were afraid to drive on the roads.
every state should be required to have salt trucks.
the whole country is cold.

Off-Topic / see you later, Jerry Van Dyke
« on: January 11, 2018, 07:22:30 am »Message ID: 1191030
Some of us grew up watching the *bleep* Van Dyke Show.
I was impressed at how well Jerry and *bleep* worked together.
They seemed to get along well as brothers.
