Off-Topic / Re: Government Shutdown

I can't say that it is no big deal since it does effect government workers.  But it's not uncommon and I don't remember people making a big deal about it before.  At least not like this time.  There seems to be an alternative motive to making this a big deal.

I have always filed my own taxes.  With mine being so simple, I don't know why anyone would do it any other way.  But my goal is to create more income from multiple sources where I am forced to pay someone else to do it.

Your thoughts on this and some of the responses are interesting to me.  Depending how she acted, I could see how it might be considered rude, but by no means could I come to that decision by what you said.  Some people grow out of shyness, but some get even more shy with age.  With how you described it, it doesn't sound rude.  I would have had to been there to know for sure though.

I'm guessing the one on the license plate is a permanent one and the hanging ones have an expiration date.  Other than that, I don't know why anyone would prefer the one on the license plate.

I do understand what you are saying, but I also feel like the way people are acting and responding to Trump in a completely different way than they did with Obama.  A lot of negative things could be said about both, but I can't lump them together.

I haven't ever replaced one for any other reason that to get a better one.  That could be that mine has worn out or because with the older I get the more I value quality sleep, so I might upgrade.

It depends on what you are into.  None of those would be an option for me, but that's me.  I went to Biloxi, Ms, Las Vegas, Cancun, and I went on two cruises to the Caribbean this year.  Clearly I like to gamble and I like the beach.  So that's the type of stuff I do.

I just got talked into trying one where you get points based on how many steps you take and you can get Amazon gift cards etc. with the points.  I have it but haven't looked into what it's all about.

In my experience, if someone describes their day as frustrating, they had a good day.  Not only that, but they've lost sight of what a bad day really is.  Just my opinion.

I have heard a ton of people talking great about it.  I do order from Amazon, but not a whole lot.  I just haven't taken that plunge.  Maybe I should look more into it.

I don't think there is anything wrong at all with re-gifting.  At the same time, I do think it is screwed to do that if the box was faded like you described.

Honestly it looks a little...cheesy to me.  Not the best word to use but not sure how to describe it.  But I've heard it's real good and that shouldn't surprise me.  It seems like all of these movies are at least good.

I and people I know have seen better than moderate results from the skin care line I use.  It is toxic free, which is insanely important.  Can't stress that enough.  And it's full of antioxidants.

I have to be honest.  When I clicked on this I was thinking of the Twilight movies.  But I have never seen the Twilight Zone. But you have gotten me curious about checking it out.

I haven't messed with surveys anywhere in quite a while.  But I started ordering some things online for work.  I got over 10,000 swagbucks for shopping in the past month.  Gotta love it.
