Support / New Laptop - Does this cause a problem for me to continue with FusionCash?
« on: October 16, 2018, 03:01:32 pm »Message ID: 1242863
I just got a new laptop today.  I haven't been on Fusion Cash for days since I needed to get a new computer.

I am wondering if the new computer will somehow be taken as a new user somehow and cause issues with my account.  I am connected to my own internet connection.

Thanks in advance.

Off-Topic / Illusions

I had an interesting illusion shown to me today involving a window.  Even after the trick was explained and demonstrated my mind still sees the illusion of a oscillating window.

What do you see?

An Explanation Of The Mind-Blowing Ames Illusion, Which Fools You Even When You Know What's Going On

Invented back in 1951 by Adalbert Ames, the Ames illusion uses a trapezoid to fool our brains into thinking it's seeing an oscillating window. And it is scarily convincing.

Off-Topic / Mary Poppins Returns
« on: September 17, 2018, 06:50:42 am »Message ID: 1238114
I just watched the trailer for Mary Poppins Returns.  I loved Mary Poppins......so I hope the RETURN will be as exciting and fun!

Emily Blunt and Lin-Manuel Miranda star in the first full-length trailer for Mary Poppins Returns!

Here’s a synopsis: Mary Poppins is back to help the next generation of the Banks family find the joy and wonder missing in their lives following a personal loss. Blunt stars as the practically-perfect nanny with unique magical skills who can turn any ordinary task into an unforgettable, fantastic adventure and Miranda plays her friend Jack, an optimistic street lamplighter who helps bring light—and life—to the streets of London.

Off-Topic / Painting Kitchen Counter Tops
« on: September 13, 2018, 10:01:01 am »Message ID: 1237628
This weekend I am going to do an update to our kitchen.  It has 70's gold formica counter tops.  I've been watching "How To" videos and plan to paint them!
YIKES!
I am a bit nervous but I am also confident that I can transform the counter tops into a nice looking "modern" look.
Has anyone else painted their counter tops?

This year I hatched Monarch.  When I went to the State Park to release, i saw hundreds of Monarchs gathering on the trees.  Wow!  It was amazing.  I hope my Monarch joins their group and makes its way to Mexico for the winter.

I had the privilege to tour the new Tru Shrimp Reef that is opening in southwestern MN.  Ground work is also being done for the new truShrimp Harbor that will be built an hour away.   The Harbor will be 128 times bigger than the Reef.

7 MILLION shrimp will be harvested per year from the Harbor!  That's a lot of shrimp.

The facility will hatch, raise, harvest and package their shrimp.  Start to finish at one location.

The 78th Annual Sturgis Motorcycle is beginning!  I can hear motorcycles cruising down I-90 on their way to Sturgis, SD.
It runs August 3 through August 12, 2018.

Every year thousands of cycles head to "the Hills".  It isn't something I would ever do (I don't even have motorcycle), but it is exciting to see so many motorcycles in one place.  My childhood neighbor traveled from Iowa to it for a number of years.

Pray for safety for all of those cyclists.

Off-Topic / Cursive

Today, I had a captcha that was written in cursive.

It got me to wondering how long it will be before the younger generations will not be able to read cursive.  Cursive isn't being taught in schools anymore...just printing.

Off-Topic / Caught Off Guard

Today a simple request of my husband made be cry like a baby.

I was outside most of the day trimming trees.  He was inside doing laundry.  He has a cracked rib so is dealing with quite a bit of pain.

When I came inside for a drink of water, he asked me to go to the garage for a folding lawn chair.  He  had some laundry in his arms and was heading downstairs to the washer and dryer which are in our basement.

His request for the lawn chair caught me off guard emotionally.  My Dad, 91 years old when he died last month, always sat in a folding lawn chair in their basement when he did laundry.  It saved him going up and down the stairs.

I just broke down and sobbed when my husband asked for the lawn chair.

July 3, 2018 my mother-in-law went to meet the Lord.  She was 95.  Such a sweet, wonderful woman.  She and my husband's Dad married several years after their first spouses died.  They were good for each other.  I will miss her warm laughter and the twinkle in her eye.  Til we meet again, Darlene.....I love you.

Our kids have lost their second Grandparent in less than one month.  (My Dad just died June 16, 2018).

Do you have lightning bugs in your area?

I always thought lightning bugs were everywhere.  This week I found out that my niece and my nephew do not have lightning bugs in there areas.  Niece lives in South Dakota.  Nephew lives in Twin Cities area in Minnesota.

There children had a blast catching the lightning bugs at my folks' farm this past weekend.

Off-Topic / It has been a long week....

I am back home after a week plus absence.

My dad, age 91, passed away on 6-16-18.

I was able to leave my job shortly after I received a call from my sister that he wasn't doing very well.  Dad died while I was driving the 3 hour trip from my home in Minnesota to my hometown in Iowa.

I am sad to lose him, but also happy because (A) I know he is in heaven; (B) He is no longer in pain.
His prostate cancer moved into his bones which left his back like "swiss cheese" and each movement was excruciating for him even with hourly doses of morphine.

Rest in Peace Dad.....until we meet again.

It is my husband's birthday today.  In a few minutes, I am taking him out to supper.  He loves BBQ ribs so we are going to the local restaurant that has a special on baby back ribs.

Mmmmm.....my mouth is watering just thinking about it.
