I live in Minnesota, so yes we get snow every year.  I don't mind the snow, it is the cold that I don't like.

We like to build snow sculptures evry year.  We've made triceratops, elephants, lions, sea serpents, gian frogs......plus the usual snow fort.

I also used to stockpile some snowballs and ambush the kids when they came home off the bus from school.....waht FUN!

I am not from South Carolina....but I am coming to South Carolina next week.  My daughter is graduating from Basic Training at Fort Jackson.
I can hardly wait to see her!!!!!  She graduated from high school in June and left in July for S. Carolina.  She is our youngest.....so we hit the
empty nest thing HARD...none of that lazy days of summer then off to college and back for weekend visits.

She has only gotten to call us Two times since she left.....she just called TONIGHT ;D

I am looking forward to seeing some "southern charm".....I'm from Minnesota!

Off-Topic / Re: Do you like riding on a airplane?
« on: September 10, 2009, 08:37:06 am »Message ID: 88242
Traveling by plane is still fun to me.  I don't do it often, so I like to have the window seat.  Can't get tired of watching the landscape below.

I saw the post about the army jumps....I'm glad I didn't read THAT before I did a tandem jump for my 50th birthday.  It was exhilarating!  Of course, I would not have done it without being hooked up to the tandem jump master.....he was in control of the chute and getting it opened on time, etc.

He also pointed out different landmarks to me on our canopy ride down.

I am flying next week to attend the graduation from Basic Training for our youngest daughter.   ;D
