Off-Topic / Bohemian Rhapsody

I was off from work yesterday and finally got to see the movie, I have to say I didn't know what to expect going in but it proved to be one of the best movies I have seen this year. I wasn't much of a queen fan growing up but I have their songs running through my head for the last 24 hours.

I was glad to see Jimmie Johnson got a new sponsor in Ally financial although I hate to see Lowe's go - they were a good combination.

I live in a suburban community and lately there have been deer running everywhere. Every night is a near miss. Any ideas on how to avoid a collision (outside of not driving anymore :))

Off-Topic / Issue with Stub Hub terrible service
« on: October 15, 2018, 06:52:05 pm »Message ID: 1242780
I have used stub hub quite often to get tickets to sporting events and I have had a lot of luck until this past weekend. I bought tickets to a local college game and a parking pass. The parking pass said electronic print so I bought it. The next day Stub Hub called me and said they had spoken to the owner of the parking pass and that it could not be sent electronic they would send it to me over night. The day before the game the parking pass did not come when I called stub hub, they said the parking ticket was sold to someone else and they would refund my money for the parking ticket. I still had tickets to the game (purchased from stub hub) and I ended up having to park almost 3 miles from the stadium. Stub hub could care less when I called them, I felt it would have been fair if they refunded some of the service fee on game tickets since they got their service fee, the parking ticket owner got their money by selling to someone else and I ended up walking 3 miles to and from the game. With that being said I asked the customer service representative to have a supervisor or manager call me, which they said they would - a week later still no call.

Unfortunately stub hub has a monopoly on the ticket resale market so I will probably have to use them again. If anyone has had success on another ticket resale site please let me know. I will give them a try.

Off-Topic / Nascar Playoffs

As we close in on the first round of the NASCAR playoffs any thoughts on who won't make it out of the first round. I think Jimmie Johnson could be in trouble.

Off-Topic / Quiz Factory
« on: August 15, 2018, 04:21:04 pm »Message ID: 1232960
Does anyone know why I would not be eligible for the Quiz Factory offer in the video section? Has anyone else been able to complete it?

Off-Topic / Ant Man and The Wasp

I saw the Ant Man and the Wasp last night and I thought it was one of the best Marvel movies yet. It had just the right amount of humor and action. I think there is a lull in marvel movies now until the 2nd phase of infinity war comes out.

Is anyone watching the world cup? Would you be more likely to watch is the United States had made it. I remember how exciting it was four years ago when the United States was playing good in the world cup, I was watching all their games. I have not seen any games this world cup.

I competed the Intellitest Math Skills test in the video section - received a 91%. I have not been credited with the 7 cents, it says it should credit when the test I completed.

Off-Topic / Sunday the greatest day in motorsports
« on: May 25, 2018, 07:07:48 pm »Message ID: 1217495
It is the one day of the year I allow myself to be a couch potato and what three of the greatest auto races you will find anywhere. First is the Grand Prix of Monaco, followed by the Indy 500 and the Coca Cola 600.

Off-Topic / Nascar Question - Is Jimmie Johnson done?
« on: April 30, 2018, 06:08:13 pm »Message ID: 1212185
Jimmie has not looked good all year and this past weekend at Taledega he basically just lost control of his car and took out half the field. I am starting to wonder if we will ever see the old Jimmie Johnson again. Dover is usually his track so if he doesn't get it done this weekend you have to think he has lost some of the edge he use to have.

Off-Topic / Lowes is leaving Jimmie Johnson
« on: March 18, 2018, 07:16:28 am »Message ID: 1204295
It is a sad day for NASCAR when a 7 time champion loses his sponsor. I'm sure somebody else will pick him up but they will probably take that from someone else.

Off-Topic / Reba and KFC
« on: February 18, 2018, 08:40:25 pm »Message ID: 1198403
I got to see the new Reba McIntyre KFC commercial many times during today’s Fox coverage of the Daytona 500. Quite honestly the commercial makes me want to avoid eating at KFC the rest of my life. It has to be the most annoying commercial I have ever seen.
