Off-Topic / Should I go back to school?
« on: February 10, 2013, 01:51:20 pm »Message ID: 686307
Ok, I need honest opinions here. My situation goes like this: I was attending a traditional brick-and-mortar college, but had to leave because I got a full time job, and the classes didn't fit into my schedule. In the meantime, me and my husband have decided to try to start a family. I was starting to recieve bills for my previous schooling, and I was able to put some of them into postponement because I'm not really ready to start paying them back yet. Please, I don't want to hear the "if you can't pay your bills, how are you going to afford a baby" thing. I've heard it enough. And it's not that I can't pay them, I just don't want to. Mainly, because I've been thinking of going to on online schooling program. However, that would require me to take out more in student loans. While I wouldn't have to pay the old ones while attending, I would have to pay more off in the long run. My husband's job is really crappy, and he's trying really hard to get a new one, but he also wants to go back to school. I'm just so confused. I know right now, I want a baby more than anything. And honestly, I know financially we will be able to pull it off. I've heard plenty of people say "you are never really financially ready for a baby". But I'm so worried about the whole school thing. I can just not go back, start paying off the other loans, have a baby and continue on with my life the way it is. Or I could go back, accumulate more student loan debt, have a baby, hopefully get a better paying job with my new degree, and see what happens after that. I just feel that any which way I turn, I'm not making the right decision. It doesnt' help that my husband has previous loans that are currently postponed, but will need to be payed back, and he also wants to attend an online schooling program. It would be great to not have to worry about the old student loans being payed back right now if I attend that online program. But then I'll just have to worry about it later, come graduation. Can somebody please give me a little bit of advice. I feel so lost and could use some guidance. Thank you!

Off-Topic / Vacation and Money
« on: March 06, 2012, 09:06:54 pm »Message ID: 501133
Well, it's that time of year again. Tax time. Me and my husband got ourselves a pretty nice tax return this year. Additionally, we are both students and we get refund checks for the unused amount from the current semester. Overall, we made out better than we thought we would. Now, here's where it gets tricky. Last year, we decided to splurge on ourselves by taking a trip to Las Vegas. We LOVED it! It was our first time there, and it was just amazing. So this year comes around, and we wanted to do another vacation, so we booked a second trip to Las Vegas. I told my Mom, and she got on my case about it. She claims that a vacation to somewhere like Vegas isn't something we can really afford every year, and that we should be saving our money. Granted, we had some hardships in the past year, but nothing that we couldn't get ourselves out of. And who doesn't have hardships at some points? Anyway, the trip is already booked, so we are definitly going, but I'm kinda upset that my Mom thinks we are irresponsible with our money. We worked hard for that money, why shouldn't we be able to spend it on what we want? We don't have kids yet. The bills are all paid. Everything seems in order. What do you think? I'm I really THAT irresponsible, or is my Mom just being a Mom?

Off-Topic / What to watch late at night?
« on: February 10, 2012, 10:30:17 pm »Message ID: 488910
So, where I am, it's about 1:30 in the morning, and of course, being Friday night and all, I'm not a bit tired. Which leaves me on Fusion Cash with the t.v. on. Even when I'm not on Fusion Cash, when I'm going to bed, I like to watch a little t.v. I'm not afraid to admit I like to fall asleep to cartoons! There's usually a couple good ones on this late...sometimes Family Guy, sometimes Spongebob. I just can't watch a regular show and fall asleep because then I feel like I will miss something! What about you? Do you watch late-night t.v. or fall asleep with the t.v. on? What do you like to watch late-night?

Off-Topic / McRib is back!
« on: October 22, 2011, 10:48:36 am »Message ID: 435664
Does anyone here feel the same way about the McRib as I do?? I love it soooooo much! It's so tender, and juicy, and bar-b-que-ey! I know some states have it available all year round, but in my part of New Jersey, they only have it during the "holiday season", which in their eyes runs from October to January. With that being said, I just found out from my husband that the McDonald's near me is now serving the McRib! Yummmmmmm! Can't wait to get my hands on one!  :star:   :star:

Hey all! I know it's almost over already, but the McDonald's Monopoly Game is back, and I am super excited! I really enjoy this game and every year, I win a lot of the free meal items. I only need one more stamp to win the new Nissan Leaf electric car! How about you? Do you partake in this game? What's the best thing you have ever won?

Support / Error Window and Other Problems!
« on: October 01, 2011, 09:13:38 am »Message ID: 425179
Hello! So, I was wondering....is it just me who keeps getting an "Input String not in Correct Format" notification when trying to do the "My Thought Counts" surveys? I used to be able to do this survey all the time, and now, I can't seem to get into it because of this error message. I don't know what to do because I've tried updating my internet and whatever else I can imagine would be causing the problem, but no luck. Also, sometimes, when I click on a survey or other clickable link on this site, instead of opening up a window with whatever I'm clicking on, it opens up another Fusion Cash window, usually the page with offers. I was just wondering what I could do about these problems because I really enjoy this site and want to make it the best experience I can for myself!

Off-Topic / Hoping for a Positive
« on: August 30, 2011, 02:26:32 pm »Message ID: 409159
So me and my husband are officially trying for our first baby! It's nerve-wracking, every month taking that one little test that will tell me if my life will forever change. Well, this month, my "best friend" hasn't show up yet, and some of the things I've researched about early signs of pregnancy seem to be occuring. Tomorrow morning, I will take another test and hopefully this month it will be positive! Keep your fingers crossed for me please!

Off-Topic / Question!
« on: July 12, 2011, 08:05:22 pm »Message ID: 384320
Hey there all my fellow Fusion-Cashers! I know it's kinda random, but I have weird question. Does anybody know if when tax time comes, we have to factor in the amount of money we make off of this site? I don't know why, but the thought just popped into my head if I need to report the amount I've cashed out on when filing my taxes next year!

Off-Topic / Need Some Relationship Advice
« on: July 11, 2011, 08:38:11 am »Message ID: 383230
Ok. So I've been married for two years now, and my sister has only been married for one. My sister is already pregnant with her first child, and the topic of having a child is very "iffy" in my relationship. I've wanted a baby for a long time, and we've briefly mentioned it to each other, but no real plans have been made. When it comes up for discussion, my husband tends to play it off as if I'm jealous of my sister or something. He's totally wrong. I'm very happy for her. But being that we've been married for two years already, I'd like to start planning my future as it pertains to having a baby. Just recently I asked him, yet again, what his thoughts on the situation are, and he says "it's confusing". I love hime very much, and want a future with him, but at this point, I'm becoming impatient and I won't wait around forever. What do you think? Do you think I'm being to harsh or pushy? Or do you think it's a guy thing? What do you recommend I do about this situation? Just to make it clear, he is certainly not homosexual, so that is not a valid reason for him to be "confused" about having kids.  ??? :'( ???

Offers / My Thought Counts Survey Problem
« on: July 09, 2011, 05:25:35 pm »Message ID: 382602
Hello Everybody! I just wanted to know something....just recently, I've tried to participate in the "My Thought Counts" daily survey, and it tells me that my browser does not support cookies. Now I know that I hadn't changed anything regarding cookies on my computer, but just to make sure, I went in and reset it to allow ALL cookies. I restarted my comp. and browser, and it still keeps telling me the same thing. Is anyone else having this problem? Does anyone know how to correct this problem? I really like taking this survey and I am sad that it won't let me!!

Off-Topic / Twilight Zone Marathon on July 4th
« on: July 07, 2011, 11:10:44 am »Message ID: 381260
I don't know about anyone else, but on the 4th of July, I was flipping through some channels on the T.V., only to find that the Sci-Fi channel had a 24 hour marathon of The Twilight Zone. Now don't get me wrong, I love me some good Twilight Zone....however, for the 25 years I have been living, I've become use to the the Twilight Zone marathon being a New Year's Eve thing. It was one of my favorite things to do....stay at home with the family and watch Twilight Zone episodes while eating some homemade snacks. At twelve-o-clock, we switched the channel to the ball-drop, and did a little "new year" celebration, and then immediately went back to the Twilight Zone. But this year, I was a little tripped up by Sci-Fi's decision to host a 24-hour marathon of the Twilight Zone over the 4th of July weekend! I'm not sure exactly how I feel about that, because it's always been a New Year's Eve tradition for me, and now they are messing me up by making it a 4th of July thingy!! Of course I watched it, but it just wasn't the same for me..... :sad1: Anyway, what about you? Do you watch the Twilight Zone at all? If so, has it been a New Year's Eve tradition? What do you think about it being a July 4th tradition?

Off-Topic / Do you play a musical instrument?
« on: June 29, 2011, 07:48:47 pm »Message ID: 376537
To be honest, I really can't play any musical instruments. I know the basics of piano and guitar, but nothing to brag about. My secret fantasy was always to be a hard-core electric guitarist playing a Fender Stratocaster with American flag decor. But just like a lot of crazy dreams, that one flew right out the window with adulthood. How about you? Any musical instruments that you can play?

Off-Topic / Bullying in Schools
« on: May 30, 2011, 07:50:35 pm »Message ID: 360579
There's been a sad number of bullying issues in today's schools. How do you think the schools should respond to this? Personally, I believe that the parents should be responsible. If a child bullies another, the parents should be contacted right away, and an immediate punishment should be issued. If the problem persists, the parents should be held responsible for any resulting actions. On the other hand, I also feel that kids are kids, and by nature, they can be mean. A parent can tell their child not to bully til they are blue in the face, but in school, mommy or daddy aren't looking, and saying something nasty to that kid who sits next to you might just make you look cool. So then do we focus on the child? Send him to therapy or something? It's such a disturbing issue, but it makes me worry about when I have kids, if the issue comes up, how it will be dealt with. What are your ideas on school bullying?  :-

Off-Topic / What is your favorite sport and team?
« on: May 30, 2011, 07:35:22 pm »Message ID: 360571
My favorite sport is baseball, and sadly enough, I am a New York Mets fan. It's been a tough 25 years as a fan, but they are my team, always have been and always will be. Maybe one of these days, it will be my season. Maybe I will live to see the NY Mets win a World Series (considering the fact that the last time they did (1986), I was just a baby and certainly can't remember). What about you?
