Since RL changed, each time I try to type in the solution for the first 30 minutes, I get half-way through and it disappears completely.  Coincidentally, this is the only one that has the readable puzzle.  I am going through CAPTCHA hell right now.  I hope it will be over soon.  It has been about a month now for me.

I have been on survey sites for several years, and every time this server comes up, I get an almost automatic message that I am not eligible.

Some people, especially on Facebook, will post, repost, or share anything and everything they see without ever checking to see if it is true.  One of these is missing people, pets, etc.  I think it is great to repost messages about missing children or pets, but some people will repost them without checking to see if they are still missing.  I have found if you click on the picture of the missing, you will usually find updates that will tell you if they are still missing.  Some of the missing have been located months or years before.  Also, there are so many outlandish things that are being reported as true.  I always check Snopes before I repost anything like that.  I think it is ridiculous that these reposts keep going on forever.

They are SO frustrating.  I really don't understand why they have to go through that phase.  This morning I tried at least 20 times on just one.

I like some of the new features that are being added to FC; for example, the Quick Reply where you can reply without opening a new page.

In my opinion, The Blacklist is the best new TV show that has come along in a very long time.  James Spader's acting is without equal.

We have lost another great actor - Ralph Waite.

PEOPLE MAGAZINE

Ralph Waite, known to millions as John Walton Sr. on the warmhearted 1970s TV series The Waltons – and, more recently, as the Mark Harmon character's father, Jackson "Jack" Gibbs, on the CBS hit NCIS – died at his Palm Desert home at about 11 a.m. Thursday, according to the Desert Sun. He was 85.

Another great one has left us.  Goodbye, Sid.

(CNN) -- Sid Caesar, whose clever, anarchic comedy on such programs as "Your Show of Shows" and "Caesar's Hour" helped define the 1950s "Golden Age of Television," has died. He was 91.

A friend of the family, actor Rudy De Luca, does not know the exact cause of death, but says Caesar had respiratory problems and other health problems for several years.

Caesar became famous for "Your Show of Shows," which went on the air in 1950. It lasted four years and was followed by "Caesar's Hour," which combined sketches, musical revues and situation comedy.

Both shows featured writers who became famous in their own right, including Neil Simon, Carl Reiner, Mel Brooks, Mel Tolkin, Lucille Kallen and Larry Gelbart. Woody Allen also contributed to Caesar's comedy as a writer for one of his specials.

Brooks visited Caesar last night to say goodbye, De Luca told CNN.

It's snowing here in Central Virginia.  And sleeting.  The storm has made it to the East Coast.  The Weather Forecast predicts 17-18 inches here.  We do not normally get big snowstorms here, so I was sitting here thinking about some of the heaviest snowstorms I can remember.  I remember one about 35 years ago that was close to Valentine's Day, and it was also about 18 inches.  I remember because we were having a birthday party for my daughter, born on the 13th, and one of her friends, born on the 14th.  Luckily, we lived close to each other, and the party went on.  Only some of the kids farther away did not make it.  Tomorrow is my daughter's birthday.  I love you with all my heart, baby girl.

Did anyone see Stephen Colbert's week-long Super Bowl celebration?  If so, you will know why I wrote the subject line the way I did.

I know every grandmother thinks that about her grandchildren.  However, I had my first instant message conversation with my grandson this evening.  He is not quite six and is in Kindergarten.  We talked for several minutes.  His mother said she only helped his to spell a couple of words.  He is such  good reader.  He was reading to us when we saw him at Christmas.  His mom started reading to him when he was a baby, and she taught him at home before he started Kindergarten.  He is amazing!

Debate & Discuss / Diabetes
« on: January 19, 2014, 06:27:40 pm »Message ID: 841462
I am aware that Diabetes is becoming more common in our population each year.  I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes about 10 years ago.  Despite oral medications and trying to watch my diet, it has become harder to control, and I was put on an insulin pen about a month ago.  I'm also scheduled to get a renal scan tomorrow morning because of signs of the beginnings of kidney problems.  I will be going for that early tomorrow morning.  I've read a lot of information about Diabetes, but I'm interested in if anyone here is struggling with Diabetes and how they are coping.  I have to admit I'm a little concerned, also, and I'd appreciate prayers.  Thank you, FC friends.
