Debate & Discuss / Hello , world, so, about those airports?
« on: December 01, 2010, 01:42:45 pm »Message ID: 278347
Just thought i'd catch up with d+d. ive seen the security issues arising with airport security. well, we can spend billions of dollars and give up every inch of privacy, but we will still never be able to prevent a terrorist attack from ever occurring. all this time, money, and privacy we're sacrificing is only a false sense of security. so what they screen all packages, bombs can look like printer cartridges. we have to stop kidding ourselves that we can prevent it from ever occuring and start moving forward with the issues we can control. putting everyone and their mother through a full body scanner maybe a little  tighter security-wise, but are we really safe? hell no.

NUH UH YORE ALL RONG BECUZ TEH BIBLE DOZ NOT SAY ANYTHNGI ABOUT ALEINS STOP WATCHING SCI FIGH MOVIEZ AND WERSHIP TEH LORD
The bible also says we should kill homosexuals, have slaves, and insists that we are all punished for the crimes of two people . meaning the lord in your bible has the power to decide my fate and judged me before i was even born. so i will never worship the lord mentioned in the bible!
oh , yeah. and would it kill you to use proper spelling? it's not that hard really, and typing like that in an intelligent debate just makes you look like a fool. btw

Debate & Discuss / Re: Legalize Marijuana?

instead of throwing facts in your face of why it is illegal and virtually harmless how about i put it at a different angle to sway you from the weak, bullshit cycles that have been passed down to you. Who the hell is the government to control personal behavior? if you smoke weed you aren't hurting anyone else but possibly yourself. it is a personal choice. do you really think the government has a right to regulate how you decide to live your life?

EVERYONE IS HUMAN! point blank the only reason people look different is because they come from different parts of the planet. racism is ignorant and people need to stop continuing the weak, foolish cycles that put humanity where it is in the first place. i am an earthling, that's my race. who gives a *bleep* what color my skin is or what my eyes or hair looks like. you should be more concerned with whether or not i am a good person overall.

under the bible's law, you can have slaves, kill certain people, etc... we know some of the things in every holy book is wrong, but religious people can't accept the fact that they could be wrong.

Debate & Discuss / Re: Polygamy
« on: November 01, 2010, 02:24:08 pm »Message ID: 262398
polygamy may be wrong to you. but if someone else favors it, they should be able to be happy as long as they don't hurt anyone else in the process. people may believe it was god's intentions for us to reproduce and flourish and that's the best way, or they may have other reasons, but who are yout to decide if they are wrong? you can't say it's wrong by god, because we don't know anything about god, except for what MEN interpreted. so we can't say what god intended, whether you believe you can or not.

marriage should be up to the people getting married. not regulated by a government that supposed to be run by the people (u.s.a. anyway.) polygamy, gay marriage should be up to the people to decide. you don't have to, but you can if you want to. exactly who do you harm by getting married?

Who's commited more evil acts? Who's done more harm to humanity? Who's been the most oppressive?
Seriously?  I am living for the day when God gives satan exactly what he deserves!
you do know that god gives satan all the power he has, according to the bible. he can't do anything that god dosen't allow him to, so really god would have to give himself what he deserves

Debate & Discuss / Evolution
« on: November 01, 2010, 10:37:34 am »Message ID: 262298
I've noticed something about the world around us. everything is constantly evolving. think about it. several species of animals are rapidly gaining intelligent abilities. like dolphins and monkeys, etc. is it possible that maybe humans are the result of evolution and everything else is just catching up? for example. monkeys/other apes can use sign language and recognize it without just memorizing. dolphins are also know to be able to interact with humans. So my theory is this: over time every creature on this earth will one day become an intelligent species. My question is: why did humans become intelligent in the first place? Maybe because that's our only defense mechanism. we don't have any natural defense (only with intelligence could we develop weapons, etc.), yet with intelligence, we can conquer any animal on the planet. The second question is: why are animals around us getting intelligent as well?

i've seen a lot of fucked up *bleep* some of our troops are doing over there in iraq. (not all of them). *bleep* like taunting children and teasing them with water. and i saw one soldier throw a puppy off a cliff. and just plain antagonizing innocent people. not EVERYONE is a terrorist or al Queada. If i was there i'm afraid i would have to hit a few guys dead in their mouths for some of that. But.... i probably wouldn't go to iraq anytime soon right?

Yeah probably not. But if that's the case and you do end up seeing things like this, please do sucker punch the *bleep* with some brass knuckles. I've seen the the puppy one and it burns me up to no end.
Yeah i know. when i saw it i wished i could have been there to push him right off the cliff.

I dislike the fact that alcohol is legal, however; pot is not. I wouldn't do it, but I disagree with the fact that there is the government deciding on what I can or can not put into my own body. I feel that they should get their nose out of it and the failing "war on drugs" would be less of an issue if they did such a thing.

Decriminalize it at least, I fail to see how pot is such a drug causes anything more harmful than alcohol. How many deaths are there per year due to alcohol use (dui) compared to drug use?
Well..... weed's death rate is (by the FDA) 0. that's right, ZERO
