Does anybody really remember the Pearl Harbor date of December 7th, 1941 and the attack by the Japanese Navy on the bases in Hawaii?  I know I do.  But I am somewhat of a student of military history.

What is your favorite Christmas Decoration.  Is it the Tree?  Stockings?  The manger?  A Star?  Just list your favorite Christmas decoration and be as detailed as possible.  Mine was the Star on the Franklin Mountains in El Paso.  You could see that Star from anywhere in the El Paso basin and know that it was Christmas time.

Off-Topic / One of your Most Embarising Moments
« on: November 28, 2010, 10:36:36 am »Message ID: 276193
Every time the wind blows I get reminded of one of my most embarising moments.  My Dad always remarked when the wind was blowing hard enough to bend the branches of the trees that it was skirt chasin weather.  I had never really paid much attention to it until I was in Calgary, Alberta Canada.  Was working on a project with a Canadian Company and My boss, His boss, the senior managers of the Canadian company , and I were all heading out to lunch this breezey mid day.  And while we were waiting in front of the building in downtown Calgary, Alberta Canada a young lady walked by and of course she was having a time keeping her skirt down in the wind.  Well evidently she noticed me noticing her difficulties because she changed her course and walked right up to me and asked, "Are you enjoying the show?   Did you get to see enough?"  And with that she lifted her skirt.  Needless to say I was more than embarressed to be caught so red handed and in front of all my bosses so I couldn't say a word.  The van pulled up to the curb and we walked across to get in and the owner of the Candian company turned to me and said, "She did have nice legs didn't she?"   I of course had to agree with him as they all started teasing me on the fact that my face had turned redder than the suit that Santa Claus wears.

Since winter is here or at least knocking on the door.  What is your favorite hot drink and how do you make it.  A favorite hot toddy of mine is an apple cider with a splash of cinamon and a drop of vanilla with a genrous shot or two of vodka.

I got a news  flash yesterday that there was a 7.5 earthquake in Indonesa on Monday.  Followed by report of a Volcano erupting in the same part of the globe and a Tsunami.  With the understanding that information from that part of the globe is slow in coming due to the lack of communication channels I expect the death toll to do a steady climb over the next few days.  But what I am really fishing for here is that has anybody else noticed that there is a lot more earthquakes, volcanoes and related events taking place lately.  This event was located on the same fault as the earthquake and Tsunami of Christmas that wiped out several thousand people.  And from what I gathered about that event was that instead of the Earth movement in inches it was measured in feet.  Not wanting to be the chicken little and claim that the sky is falling but just curious if anybody else has observed this geographical event outside the sceientific communty.

Well it is official the Texas Rangers vs the San Fransico Giants for the World Series.  Now who do you want to win.  I am all in for the Texas Rangers to win the World Series since the Dallas Cowboys don't appear to be going anywhere this year.
