Off-Topic / Re: I LOVE..WOLLY WORLD (Walmart)

we try not to go there too much. there are always way too many people. the one here doesn't even have self-check outs, so you have to wait in line forever, even if you're buying one or two things.

I don't use self check outs anywhere.  By doing so.....someone is losing their job.

I love Wal mart as I work there full time.   I am thankful to have a job in todays world.  Wal Mart has always treated me fairly.  I have been working for them 6 1/2 years.  I retired from my other job nearly 8 years ago so I had to get out and find me something else to do as SS is not enough to live on.  Am thankful I am able to still work.   I don't like the self check out either.

if you have snowing how many inches.......

I live in middle Tennessee and this is the first White Christmas we have had in 17 years.   Made my Christmas special.  Had family here yesterday and it was a blessing.  We got about 1 to 2 inches of snow.  Made snow creams last night when it was deep enough.  Boy, was it good.

never heard of orkut, but I definitely all for facebook, never tried twitter

I only have Facebook.  I enjoy it.  Just got on in January.  I keep up with my friends and family.  I don't put no personal info as to what I am doing or when I am home or away.  Safer that way.

I would like less snow for Christmas.  The ground has been covered for two weeks now.   8)

The weather man said we might have a white Christmas.  Hope so.  We have not had any snow at Christmas since 1993.   Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas.

Off-Topic / Re: More than 7,000 Facebook-associated crimes since January

IT IS EASY to forget that people can be watching you online.

After conducting an investigation, the Daily Mail reports that crimes associated with Facebook have risen by 700 per cent over the last three years. While this is undoubtedly a consequence of an increase in the website’s use – 500 million people now use Facebook – it is not always an unavoidable consequence,,

WHAT'S YOUR THOUGHTS ABOUT FACEBOOK? IS THIS SAFE..

I don't put anything on Facebook that would let them know what I am doing or when I am home or when I am leaving.  No telling who might be ready to break into your house when you are away.

Off-Topic / Re: Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays??
« on: December 20, 2010, 04:08:13 am »Message ID: 287466
I use both sayings Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, but I guess that I say Merry Christmas way more. I think its fine to say either one

I work at Walmart as a people greeter and I wish everyone that comes in the store a Merry Christmas.  I have never had anyone say anything about it.  But I live in the Bible belt.
JESUS is the reason for the season. You can deny it. You can hide it. You can get offended by it...angry about it...try to stop it. But you can NEVER change it!

This is my belief.  I am a Christian.

Off-Topic / Re: Do you use gift bags or wrap presents?
« on: December 19, 2010, 02:45:22 am »Message ID: 287158
I give a lot of presents in our family and have spent years wrapping gifts.  It takes a long time.  Then I started using a few gift bags.  What a time saver.  It cost a bit more at first, but I just have to replace the tissue paper.  I get the gift bags back and they even have their name tags on them.  I use the same bags year to year.

I wrapped most of my presents and one I used a gift bag.  It was so big that I didn't have a box for it.  But I got all of it done.   Hope everyone has a merry Chrisitmas.

Chance of rain and snow showers with lows in the 20s here in KY. Sucks as usual but in KY you only have to wait a few minutes and it'll change.

Be careful out there!!

It has  been so cold here and we have already had snow and it is only December.  No tealing what is will be in January and Feburary.  Maybe it will warm up and not freeze us.  Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas.

This is too long for me to remember...lol

Sometimes I forget and it get worse as I get older.  The other day I forgot to get my teeth and have to turn around and come back and get them.  I can not remember people names either and that makes me feel so bad.  I remembers faces though.

I live in Clarksville, TN, and this is the coldest Dec since the 40's.  The kids have already missed 2 days of school due to snow, and they dismissed early yesterday due to forecasted sleet (that we didn't get, thank goodness.)  They only allotted 3 snow days this year, so if they miss more than 1 more, they'll be making up days.

I live in Middle Tennessee and this has been the coldest this early in years.   I work at Wal-Mart as a people greeter and we freeze at the door.   I will be glad when spring gets here.  We had a very hot summer and now we are having a hard winter.

IT IS SNOWING BEFORE CHRISTMAS,FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MORE THAN 40 YRS. IS IT SNOWING WHERE YOU ARE?

It snowed all day yesterday and I had a hard time getting home.   I slid a couple of times coming home but I made it ok.   I have to go back in to work this evening, so hopefully the roads will be cleared off.  It is so cold here and I live in the middle Tennessee area.
