Off-Topic / Re: do you smoke?

I use to : stopped because i wanted to. It's all inthe mind.

It is hard to quit.  But I quit 4 years ago after smoking for 45 years.  I wanted to stop.  Just laid them down and never wanted another one.   I figured all the money I spent on cigs. I could have had a lot more than I have now.   I can tell the difference in my money now.   I am thankful I could quit when I did.  I feel so much better now.  I use to wake up coughing at night.  Now I don't.

we had a quiet day my best friend came over and it was me and my finace and i am stuffed like the bird was    :star: :star:

I spent Monday cooking and finished on Wednesday and ate that day too.  I work at Walmart and have always worked on Thanksgiving day, so have to have family over when I am off.  Had a wonderful time.  Ate way too much but enjoyed the family being together..   I have so much to be thankful for.  So many people in other countries are in need.   God has really blessed us here, and may he always do so.

I always said if anyone wanted to talk to me they could wait till I got home.  But I will be traveling alot now and got a cell phone last month.  Just needed it in case had trouble on road and also signed up for Triple AAA road service.  Wanted to make sure I could get help when out and about by myself.

Off-Topic / Re: IS YOUR CHRISTMAS TREE UP YET?
« on: November 24, 2010, 04:04:49 am »Message ID: 273611
No not yet here. My rule is that I dont put up my tree until the week after Thanksgiving.

I always wait till after Thanksgiving to put my tree up.  Any time before then I would be tired of it.  I work at Walmart and they put their tree up nearly 2 weeks ago.   I will be tired of it before Christmas, although it is beautiful.  I am having my Thanksgiving dinner today because I have to always work on Thanksgiving day.

Which is your favorite coffee  ...???  or maybe another brand?  I usually buy Maxwell House because I think folgers tastes too bitter.

I have always drank Folgers.  I like the taste.   When I have time in morning I fix a pot of coffee and if I don't have time, the break room at work have a coffee pot brewing all time and I will drink coffee there.  It gets me going in morning.   HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE.

I don't think the actual month matters much, but the sooner the better.  Since your husband is in need of one, he'll probably be close to the front of the line with infants and elderly.

Good luck!

I got my flu shot just a few days ago.   I was sick when they first came out so had to wait till I got over my cold before I could ge mine.   I have never had the flu but have had a flu shot every year for years.

I have a 3 year old daughter and she hit the terrible 3's twice as bad as the terrible two's.  Now what she does is if I tell her no she runs to daddy and asks him and when he asks her what did mommy say?  She replies mommy said yes. :o She also has been having those temper tantrums in the store when she doesn't get her way.  I have tried all types of dicsipline but nothing works.  I am so stressed! :sad1:  Not to mention that I feel like I cannot take her anywhere without her misbehaving.  And I do not spoil her.  I just don't know where she gets it from.  And don't even get me started on the back talk. ::) I hope this passes ASAP!

When my children were little, my oldest daughter would bite her little sister.   I could not keep her from doing it.  So one day I bite her and bite hard and she never bite her sister again.

I am one of those people who says that it is never too early to decorate for Christmas. Decorate whenever you think it is time
I always put Christmas tree up right after Thanksgiving.   But it gets old by the time I take it down.  Enjoy it when the grandkids come over.

Off-Topic / Re: I'm looking for a second job. Any ideas where I can look?
« on: November 14, 2010, 03:01:51 am »Message ID: 268976
starbucks is a great place for part timers, with lots of perks, including insurance, if you don't already have it from your first job!

Have you tried McDonalds, Wendys or any other fast food places.   Try cleaning houses and if it was summer, you could mow yards.  If you are a woman, try making cakes and selling them.  There are a lot of ideas out there.   Hope you find what you are looking for.
