I bought this shirt that has diamond colored beads all over it and the last real conversation I had with my grandma before she died was to ask her if I should reinforce the stitching on them.  She said yes, which I did then showed it to her.  Her eyes were failing her so she ran her hand over it and said she did like what I had done.  Now that she has passed on, every time I wear the shirt it makes me think of her.  It's one of the few things I can attach to her and not cry about.

Cemetery Visit.  It's the only honorable thing to do this weekend.

Rainy days I love staying in and watching a mystery movie.  My grandma, God Rest Her Soul, used to say a mystery is always that much better when it's rainy outside.

A cough.  Definitely!  I've lived through both and I would take the dry heaves any day of the week.  I can't stand both but the coughing at least lets you do a few things.  vomiting you can't do anything except hand over a toilet and pray for it to end soon.

I love camping and walking through trails, looking at nature.  I take tons of photos of birds, trees, flowers.  Here in VA, I usually do Leeslyvania State Park since one can hike and being right by the river, one can do boating or fishing.  I just love the way the sun glints against the water.  My best photos are right there at the water

Both my grandparents were in WWII so I do what I always do, by truly honoring the day for what it was meant, visiting a cemetery.  In respect to them and my father who was army, I cannot honor it any other way.

My favorite movies are Willow, Red Sonja, Lady Hawk, and Legend ('85).  As for cartoons, it's all the How to Train your Dragon Trilogy.

If you are looking to hide it, and it's bills, I've heard some put them in socks.  You just have to remember which ones and not try to wear them.  I personally stick them underneath drawers in an nightstand or end table.

Generally the fastest way I use is music.  I keep several playlists with certain things in mind such as trying to keep happy.  I listen to a lot of '80's music so the playlist is filled with things like Walking on Sunshine, Summer of '69, etc.  If I'm too in a mood and the music just sounds like noise I try to combat it the best way, with laughter.  I have a set of movies/cartoons that never fail to make me laugh.  I watch one of those.  By the end I am usually feeling a bit better.  If all else fails, I take a nap, recharge and wake up to start fresh, or a least with a bit brighter perspective of a matter.

Rain has just been crappy for my allergies.  Being allergic to mold (which is always higher due to rain), I've been constantly sick and have had to double up on my allergy medication.  Then to make it worse, there isn't enough sunny days to go out and trim plants, cut grass or anything.  So, the front yard looks a mess which doesn't help the situation any either.  It's be nice if there were a fewer rainy days but the fewer rainy days just mean higher pollen count.  It's just been a crappy season all around for allergy sufferers.

I always tell the truth but I ask them first if they really want the truth even though it might hurt them.  If they say they do, then I give it to them.  If they become hurt by what I say I talk it through until they feel better about what was said.

Off-Topic / Re: Happy Memorial Day weekend

If you're really honoring Memorial day, it's not a day to be happy about and celebrate.  It's about honor and remembrance.  Over the decades it's become twisted to mean the 'unofficial kick off to summer' but that's not what this weekend is.  For those of us with military families or have had members in the military such as both my grandpas were in WWII, it doesn't mean summer.  It means what it always has, a day to remember those fallen serving this country.  It annoys me greatly when most don't remember this and cloud it with sales or traveling to the beach.  It's a day to travel to the cemetery or memorials.  Hence the name.
