Debate & Discuss / Re: Should everyone speak and be taught the same language?

Have you ever heard of the tower of Babel? People used to all speak the same language and it caused bad problems. If you are not familiar with the story, you can read it in the Bible.

Debate & Discuss / Re: Truth or Lie?

Lying may seem easier at first, but the consequences that result are harder than just telling the truth at first, no matter how hard it is.

Blaming someone else doesn't do anything except make you feel a little better and the blamed feel a lot worse.

Off-Topic / Re: If People Did Not Have Jesus Christ In Their Lives

Everyone is made with a God-shaped hole in our minds. If we try to fill it up with anything else, we may think that we are satisfied, but we are not really. If those who are making comments that Jesus isn't real or needed could experience what Jesus will do for them in a real way, they would be wanting others to love Him too. Whatever you have been through, don't give up on Jesus. He loves you no matter what you are going through. :)

I'd rather be healthy. Money does no one any good if he is dead.

Off-Topic / Re: Flu Shots...Yea or Nay?
« on: October 12, 2011, 03:37:48 am »Message ID: 430935
I have not gotten a flu shot and never intend to. However, from what I have seen, it doesn't seem to help most people. One lady I know took the flu shot and a couple years, she ended up in the hospital very sick. Listed with the flu shot are possible side effects of headache, fever, chills, etc. (I don't have the info in front of me). But the "side effects" are exactly what a flu is. I think it is just another way for pharmaceuticals to make money.

Not unless I am alone. Then I usually drink without my lips touching the jug--just pour into my mouth.

Off-Topic / Re: How to establish a credit history

When I first started to build credit, I got a Capital One credit card. They start you off with a $500 limit and as I pay my bills on time, my credit limit goes up. They also have 1% cashback and a bonus on the cashback if you pay on time.
