It  doesn't feel like fall right now. We are having to run the AC'S  now. But early this morning it was  cooler then normal. I love going out on the porch with my first and only  cup of coffee and  watch the birds and listen to them chatter . But this moring everything was  still cool.  I guess they know more then we  do and we have been watching the migrating Birds start to bunch up be fore heading  South. But it will be a while before the geese and craine's start to come here. As soon as the farmers  start harvest they show up / We will hear them all day as they come in.

I don't believe  in using  paper plates or plastic  items to   eat with. It is nothing but waste and more for the landfill. There is only 2 of us and I cook almost all of our meals so have dishes to was anyway. It takes nothing for me to wash them but just a squirt of Dawn, cleans everything. Besides if you  dump the paper plates in the trash they stick  up the house quickly  unless you carry  them out right away.

Off-Topic / Re: An Ice Cold, Squishy Pillow

I like a cool pillow sometimes  even cold. Depends on how I feel. I have a  bad neck due to  car wrecks years ago and whiplash. Winter time I have no problem having a cold  pillow as it is cold in my bedroom but really have a hard time  keeping it  cold or cool in the summer. So  summer time I am always changing pillows around and have been  known to  stuff it in front of the AC at night  just for some relief after it  cools down. We are thinking of  getting a college /dorm freezer and putting it in the house   just to keep some pillows  cold in it. They don't take up much room or cost much to  run. I do have a  huge freezer in the  shop but it is  full of  food so can't use it.

I used to but now I am  trying to figure  out how to  get rid of some of it.  I am 76 and the only person I have to leave things to is my daughter-in-law and she  has taken everything she wants (which Helped) some now  to  get rid of more of it.  I have given all of my nieces and nephews some  things that they wanted also. Guess  donation will be  coming.

Twice a week  they go by and pick up the trash, I have never seen one get out of the  truck to do it.  Just pick up the dumpster with  arms on the truck and dump.  If there is something on the ground they will not get out of the truck to pick it up. But will send a note for us to do it. Not even knowing who  left it.  We have people  who go around  throwing their trash in our dumpsters all the time and just  leave crap on the ground by the dumpster. Then we have to pick it up and clean up after them or get into trouble. The  dumpster is for  four  families.  And we have to pay for it. My husband is real good about cleaning it up and I don't think it is fair to him that the others  don't.  But if he finds  a box or something   with their  names on it  he will turn them in.

I watched it one  time, if you are into modern dancing which I am not it was ok. But I prefer to watch  Dancing with the stars.  Because I am more into  ballroom dancing.  Maybe because of my age and or maybe because i grew up with it.  But even with that  once in a while I will see something that really has nothing to do with the  dance.  which throws it off some. But oh well it is entertainment.

I would like to meet some of my  ancestors,  As for descendants, I don't have any as my children passed away before me.
I would  have loved to have had a passel grandbabies and great grandbabies.  But since  that is wishful thinking I just  collect young  people that are same age as my boys would have been. Some  even call me mom. kind od nice.

I am going to have to check  it out. I don't really like  people  being able to  track  me down. Not that I have ever  done anything  wrong just don't like the idea. I do know there are a few people I  do not care to ever see again like an ex-husband, Just creepy thinking about it though.

I am   too darn tired to care how I fall asleep, but there are times my mind just want shut down and I  will finally get back up and sit in the  chair and turn the massager on and it will relax my some then  I will go back to bed and fall right to sleep.   It used to be a lot  worse when I was working for money. My job was very stressful then. But now  that I am retired I only volunteer a couple of times a week, still stressful in a lot of ways, But I know iam doing  God's  work and I fall asleep most night  very well

She knew what she was  doing. I don't think  she got enough time.  Other kids had to work so hard to get in while she cheated for her daughter to go and it is not right.  But because she is a movie star and has money she got away with it.

« on: September 13, 2019, 02:38:46 pm »Message ID: 1292761
I like all apples, although   I am sort of picky when it comes to  baking apple  pies.  Some apples  are  just not for baking. But  for the most part I will eat any kind of apple because  I like them all.  I don't have apple trees any more  so  I will be going over to the neighbors and pick them.  I will put a few into the freezer already make up into pies and then the rest  we will be picking them and then taking them to the Ministry of Hope. He donates them every year outside of what he may put up which is just a drop in the barrel  compared to what he donates.

In my younger days there was  just no time to go out between  going to school and  working  2 jobs.  I didn't have  much time and when I did I had to study. But I will say one thing I did not  owe any  money  when I  finished school.  Guess you  could say I was a loner until I  finished. But worth it. I got a job in management right  away.  Got used to my own  company.  And  did not miss the partying or anything. But I  was also  able to travel a lot.

I am a light smoker  and hubby is/was a heavy smoker.  I am  going  cold turkey on my and doing pretty good. I once thought about vaping, but seeing some of the stuff going on  I figured I didn't  need or want it.  Hubby is on some meds to help him quit and dong  quite well with it. Now if only my niece and sis-in-law would quit  vaping  but so far it hasn't  bothered them but I  figured the odds were too high for me.

Hubby and I volunteer at the ministry  and I more so then him am with and around a lot of people who may or may not bring the  flu into the building. So I get my shot and then hop we don't catch a cold from some one. But I have not  had the flu in years  nor has hubby.  Some of the shots I don't  take.  then pray I don't get sick.
