Off-Topic / Re: New pets

We had dogs and cats for years and enjoyed every single one of them.  Just a few month ago we had to say goodbye to our last dog. He was 18 years old and was such a good dog.  We have no plans to get another pet of any kind.  Too much responsibility and hurts too much when you lose them.

I've been on statins for years but my hope is to stop taking it sometime soon.  I've just recently stopped my blood pressure medicine and do feel better.  After I'm sure I've been off the BP medicine long enough then I'll start the process of getting off the statin.  I used to never take meds and now find myself taking 7 at day.  At least it was 7 until about 2 weeks ago; down to 5 now.

Off-Topic / Re: Should marijuana be excluded in drug test for employment? What do you think?
« on: September 28, 2018, 02:34:48 pm »Message ID: 1239844
No, it should not  be excluded.  Possible employers have the right to know if someone smokes marijuana before hiring them.  People who smoke a lot of weed do behave differently; I have seen this with several different people I have known through the years.

My husband cooks our steaks and I never know what he's going to put on them but they do always taste good.

I take stuff back unless it's a small item that didn't cost over a couple of dollars.  I seldom have to return stuff but a few years ago it seemed like I was returning stuff every few weeks.  Not sure what was up with that.

I always unplug my computer.  Last year we had a bad storm that ran in on our TV, our router and my Wii.  Had to replace the TV and router but haven't replaced the Wii.  It just knocked the sound out on the Wii so I keep using it. lol

I use a hand held masher most of the time but have occasionally used a regular mixer.  I use milk, butter, salt and pepper and sometimes a little Tony Chechera.  Yum!

I've gotten my flu shot yearly for many years!  I usually get mine in October but have occasionally slipped past October and into November.

We saw a lot last year but not as many this year.  I grew up in South Carolina and we had tons of them.  We'd catch them and put them in jars to light up our clubhouse lol.

Public schools; not sure there were many private schools around my area back in those days.

Thin and crispy; that's how I really enjoy mine.

I used to use the library more than I do now, especially if I was reading a series of books but was missing some of the series.  I love to read but right now I have so many boxes of books in my closets that I'll probably not be around to read them all lol.  I'm talking about A LOT of books.

I love Olive Garden even though I'm not a super big Italian food fan.  I could eat their salad every day I do believe lol.  I've tried several of their dishes but stayed away from their red sauce meals.  Once on vacation we ate there and I tried their shrimp dish that I think was a new dish.  The menu said it was a little spicy but I honestly could not eat it.  I was way too hot for me.  I sent it back and got something else.

I'm right-handed.  When I was much younger I could actually write with my left hand but not as good.  Haven't tried to in a very long time and bet I can't do that now.
