Rebekah,

Our religious liberty and heritage are under attack like never before. But we are fighting back, and we are winning.

Just days ago we secured two more injunctions, including one from a key court of appeals, blocking the abortion-pill mandate for two more Christian business owners.

And, last week, a federal court threw out a lawsuit brought by angry atheists aimed at removing the World Trade Center Cross from the 9/11 Museum. This historic piece of 9/11 – a symbol of hope – will stay in its rightful place.

Yet the Obama Administration and radical atheists groups have vowed to appeal these critical cases. So the fight goes on.

Generous ACLJ members, who know of our success, have agreed to match every online donation; but with less than two weeks before our deadline, we are still over $280,000 short of our goal.

Have your tax-deductible gift doubled toward our work today.

Its so sad that Obama has signed the bill at least three times that says a baby born alive can still be murdered. In all stages it is wrong. From the moment of conception a baby begins to have an awareness. During abortions the baby actually moves to avoid the forceps being used to remove the head from the body. People already experience the baby moving inside of them and have abortions anyway. I encourage people to stop trying to be, "politically correct," and actually know about the child inside them. One woman's reasons where that the child was inconvenient for her. One day anyone could just as easy say their five year olds are inconvenient. How sick and murderious are poeple to do this to an innocent youth? Just because the baby is not outside the womb does not mean he/she is not a human being with rights. Then people talk about woman's rights. Its a womans right to kill their children? No way. There is a thing called being a sarrogant mother to women who can not have children and are willing to pay for a new born. As parents we should lay our lives on the line for our children. One day we will have to answer to God. I am not on here trying to just be religious. Before I even got to be saved, when I researched wicca, I knew that abortions where wrong. Anyone that defends abortion is a mass murderer. This is not a rant or trying to make people just feel bad. Its serious and we need to be outspoken about this. People go online and talk about having an abortion like theres nothing wrong. I have no problem showing them where they are wrong.

Rebekah,

We are winning. In the last several days, your support has helped us achieve significant victories for life and religious liberty.

In Illinois, yet another federal court blocked the abortion-pill mandate from applying to a private business.

When a Texas middle school banned a young student from wearing a symbol of faith that gave him strength during his fight with cancer, the ACLJ took decisive action. The school relented, and the student is once again able to express his faith.

We also helped New York students start a Bible club and achieved two significant court victories – one in California and the other in North Carolina – for free speech for Christians and conservatives on college campuses.

This is just a snapshot of our daily work – work that protects our most fundamental liberties.

A group of our members, who understand the challenges of our national and international efforts, have agreed to double every online gift. However, the deadline is fast approaching. Please consider a gift today.

Have your tax-deductible donation doubled today.

Rebekah,

This week – just days after President Obama spoke to Palestinians while standing under the banner of Yasser Arafat, one of the world's most infamous terrorists – our government made a startling announcement.

It's giving $500 million to the terrorist-led Palestinian Authority.

After giving $250 million to Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood government.

Since the budget sequester, when Americans were asked to make sacrifices to reduce our deficit, the Obama Administration has announced $750 million in new aid to radical, jihadist governments overseas.

This is intolerable.

At the ACLJ, we're demanding that not one dime of taxpayer money go to jihadist radicals. The Palestinian Authority celebrates suicide bombers, and its official maps don't even include the State of Israel. Let's sequester terrorists before we sequester Americans.

Sign Our Petition to Sequester the Muslim Brotherhood.

This has been a critical week for the ACLJ. At home, we joined the fight to save the National Motto -- "In God We Trust" -- and won a victory over Obama's abortion-pill mandate. Abroad, the State Department finally made a proactive statement for Pastor Saeed, and our affiliate investigated a brutal attack on Christians in Pakistan. Please join the committee to protect our National Motto and read these important updates.

Rebekah,

Once again, angry atheists are taking aim at our National Motto.

Days ago, the radical Freedom From Religion Foundation, which tries to rid America of any trace of its religious heritage, filed a lawsuit to remove our National Motto – "In God We Trust" – from our currency.

They claim our coins are discriminatory.

Yet acknowledging and respecting our nation's religious heritage, and the hope and trust of its Founders, is not "discrimination" – it's a celebration of our shared history.

What's next? Striking the word "Creator" from the Declaration of Independence?

At the ACLJ, we're fighting back. Working with Members of Congress, we intend to file a critical brief in the case supporting our national heritage and the right of our nation to acknowledge God in our history and culture. We want you to join this brief. Make your voice heard.

These flawed challenges have failed in the past. Let's make sure this federal lawsuit is rejected, too.

Rebekah,

Last week your advocacy for Pastor Saeed got results.

In Geneva, the U.N. Human Rights Council heard a direct appeal for Pastor Saeed from the European Union.

In Washington, D.C., a House of Representatives Human Rights Commission heard directly from me, from ACLJ Executive Director Jordan Sekulow, and – through her tears – from Pastor Saeed's wife, Naghmeh.

After the meeting, Jordan, Naghmeh and I met directly with high-level State Department officials, and they pledged to take action.

As busy as we were nationally and internationally on behalf of Pastor Saeed, we also filed new briefs against the HHS abortion pill mandate, fought hard to halt aid to Muslim Brotherhood Egypt, and defended the right of Christian student groups to meet on campus.

And that was just the past seven days.

During this intense time, a group of donors has stepped up and pledged to match, dollar-for-dollar, every gift to the ACLJ up to $1 million. Your gifts will be doubled. Consider giving to the ACLJ today.

Rebekah,

Now is the time to redouble our efforts for Pastor Saeed, a U.S. citizen imprisoned in Iran for his Christian faith.

On Friday morning, I’m going to testify before a House of Representatives panel on behalf of Pastor Saeed and on behalf of other persecuted Christians in Muslim lands.

This is a crucial moment and our best chance yet to spur the United States government into action.

Here’s where you can help.

We need to send a message.  We need 500,000 signatures to help Save Saeed by the time I testify.  If you have not signed the petition, please do so now.

Sign the petition to Save Saeed.

If you have signed, we are starting a new campaign called “Reach 3.”

It’s simple: Think of three people who care about religious freedom, who care about the persecuted Church.  Simply tell them about Pastor Saeed.  Tell them about his unwavering courage and faith.  Send them to SaveSaeed.org.
Reach three to save one life.

With the Sequester, the Obama Administration is taking $27 million from the 9/11 Victim's Fund even while it gives Muslim Brotherhood-led Egypt a cash infusion of $250 million.

In other words, the American victims of terrorism are making financial sacrifices while the ideological fathers of modern jihad are getting an economic stimulus – at U.S. taxpayer expense.

It's hard to imagine a more foolish and hurtful use of taxpayer money.

Our government must wake up. Make your voice heard. We know our budget must be cut, but before the victims of terrorism make sacrifices – before our military makes sacrifices – the Muslim Brotherhood must be cut off.

Jihadists should get nothing from American taxpayers.

Egypt's Christians are begging our government not to support their oppressors. We must stand with them. We must stand with our own families.

Sign the Petition to Sequester the Muslim Brotherhood.

Rebekah,

Today marks the 160th day of Pastor Saeed's captivity. We are fighting back.

His wife, Naghmeh, has written a powerful and emotional post describing the pain and grace she has experienced throughout Saeed's captivity. She wrote:

"It has been 9 months since Saeed kissed the little foreheads of our children as he said his goodbyes early in the morning of June 22, 2012. Nine months since Daddy sung to them and tucked them into bed, and 9 months since I embraced my husband as we said our goodbyes . . . . While Saeed doesn't have a voice to sing to his children, we each have a voice for his freedom; we can make a difference."

And now your voice is being heard. As you read this email, our legal team is on its way to Geneva as the U.N. Human Rights Council convenes.

Now is the time to redouble our efforts. If you have not done so already, sign the petition for Saeed's freedom. If you have signed it, share the petition to #SaveSaeed.

During this crucial week, we must take a stand.

Jordan Sekulow
